***Official SAT I June 2013***

@spazzer4501 I answered that it was surmountable. The general tone of that passage was extremely pro-human space exploration, positive, and up-beat. The author wrote like there was a surmountable challenge, and he was calling us to join him in overcoming (surmounting? lol) it.

On CR, what was the moral of the story about Poseidon - I think I was caught btwn. power can lead to unhappiness or jobs aren’t supposed to be amusing.

@NWskier I realize that, and I agree that the passage in general was optimistic and pro-human exploration. But the passage was not trying to REFUTE the high cost of space exploration, rather it was trying to argue that even though sending a human into space is expensive, it is justified by other factors that are irrelevant for the purposes of this question.

That is why I put ‘inevitable’. The crux of the author’s argument was not “okay look, the high costs could have been completely avoided in the first place”. Rather it was more of “okay so maybe sending humans into space is really expensive, but look at how proud and accomplished and popular those people who go up there will be!”. Hence, ‘inevitable’.

@maroonafternoon, that is experimental

But remember the question referred to the “inability” to overcome these costs not on the expense itself.

For the space passage, does anyone remember the answer to how the guy responded to the “endeavors” of the second passage? I chose unpopular since his quotes said that the only reason anyone wants to space travel is to have adventure or something.

Exactly, which is why I think I got it wrong. But I’m just trying to explain my logic.

@puppy I believe I chose unjustifiable for that one.

@puppy143158 I thought it was unjustifiable. He said that " Robots are more productive anyway and there is no major reason for human exploration"

What did you guys get for the space question that asked for advantages of humans.

Faster moving

@gutter not sure i remember that question. Do you remember any of the choices?

what was the writing experimental guys?

I’m pretty sure it was the one with frescoes and stuff by Michelangelo… I don’t remember anything else about it though.

@spazzer- Really? Because I distinctly remember that I had 2 math sections with FR sections in both…

Late Junior… I agree with all your answers…

Do you remember the closest answer choice there was in the self assurance question… I was debating it for a while, but don’t remember the other answer

so is there a thread for the international june sat i?? who took it and what came out on the cr??

what were other answer choices to the acumen…unwarranted question?

Does anyone know if the sentence completion question with lopsided and tempered ? Was that question on a experimental reading passage???

tempered/failure was the answer

One of the answers to this space question was: humans are less technically difficult

No, the answer to that was humans are slower or something.
