***Official SAT I June 2013***

@AKIndian I’m 99% sure that “adept” wasn’t an answer choice. I think the word you’re thinking was ineptitude, so the correct answer would be acumen. Also, indelible is correct (but I missed it :frowning: )

@gstrubes That one was pithiness.

@goldendolphin I think I only got E for 29, do you remember what the question was for 28?

what was the other word that was with transgression? I remember off the couple other ones like mercy and felonious

vocab:
acumen…unwarranted
leniency…transgression
pithiness
schism
taciturn…tenacious
moribund
amalgamate
indelible
any others?

oh also unexpected…delighted(?)

any others. or questions.

@Extractum11 I don’t remember the question exactly, but it was about politicans who lost an election to generate publicity for issues

acumen…unwarranted doesn’t make sense because the sentence said that the inexperienced business people took the advice.

@goldendolphin Was that the one that read “in hope to generate” or something? It’s wrong because when you say “in hope” it’s usually followed by “of something.” So the corrected sentence would be “in hope of generating”

@doctorv exactly.

@doctorv it said something along the lines of “He bragged about his (acumen) and gave lectures; this was bad because his arrogance was actually (unwarranted) and a lot of inexperienced business people took his advice.”
So they took his advice but it turned out poorly for them because he actually didn’t know what he was talking about (and they didn’t know any better because they had no experience).

if you think you got two wrong in the math today and maybe five in the reading what do you think your scores in those sections will be?

@Extractum11 Yeah I think that was it. So that’s an idiom error?

Just wondering does anyone out after (lowering) (B) for the last sentences ID? I got consecutive Answer B for about 5 times from around 26-30 in grammar section…kinds of scary

Did anyone get almost no “no errors (E)” on the 35 MC section. I got almost one. Maybe 1 or 2

jkim, is your list labelled “vocab” a list of vocabulary words appearing on this test, or a list of the correct answer choices?

Yeah I don’t think I saw some of those as answers Jkim unless your just listing off

uhh it was accumen unwarrented

he bragged about his __, but it was ___, so alot of inexperienced buisnesspeople followed his advice and failed

he bragged about his experience(accumen), but he did not have experience(unwarrented), so people who took his advice failed

no idioms there

Did you guys have a reading passage on Disneyland? Or was that the experimental

I think all of the ones jkim listed are correct answers. I got all of the ones he said except two, and I know for sure that the two I missed are the correct chocies.

@cicit yeah, I got 4-5 B’s in a row also.

Edit: @justtorespond, he was talking about the writing section with politician’s and hopes of generating interest or whatever.

Did anyone on section 10 get a LOT of Cs?

That’s experimental!
