instead of schism i said disparity…?

What was the vocab in context for the Dutta passage… some choices were shrewd and intoxicated etc. What did u guys put for the so annoyed question was it wrong or no error

correct answers, i believe.

@coll3gehopeful the word was hardy.

and it was the violin, not dutta.

@jkim74 what were the questions for these answers taciturn…tenacious
moribund

Isn’t the Indian woman disappointed with the children in that question ? Why would that para emphasize her dislike for the country ? Please explain.

What did you guys get for the last question in that indian story? It asked like how the grandma felt coming to america. I put unforseen something…

For the improving paragraphs, was it to encourage citizen participation or removal? Both seemed ok to me.

And one of the writing questions said something about a bird that does not like to be held? Was “to be held” an error?

The word was heady and the answer whas intoxicating

@RushBagot moribund was the one about something becoming less popular, but not yet defunct (which was also one of the answer choices)
taciturn…tenacious for the girl who had goals but didn’t really speak about them in public.
do you recall?
@mpgh000 i put unforeseen* pleasure.
@asdasdasd1 i put citizen participation; yes.

How many no errors were in the writing section from 12-29? And which ones were they?

I got like 2 no errors which kinda worries me. But whatever

I got 2 no errors on writing. I always get the no errors correctly so … be assured!
What did you guys put for the thing to add before the sentence? I put “in fact,”

What did you guys put for the best correction for the “sticky situation”? I put leave as is

What did you guys put for the sentence to put to link P1 to P2? I forget… but it wasn’t there’s alternative ways to remove gum

for math what did you guys put for the measurement of 20 cups and also the 3 lines intersecting? I put 72 and 4 sections.

passage about mrs. dutta and india stuff
- first couple lines: chaotic to tranquil
- kitchen - comforting
- why she sang? to count for loneliness
- relationship: strained
- the word “yes”: resignation
- the word “store”: value
- her coming to united states: unforeseen pleasure
- cooking: compassion vs. self-assurance
- disappointed in american culture

our consensus thus far + my own input.
anyone remember how many questions pertained to this passage?

For the writing passage was the 2nd question a: (as it is now)? It was something like the critics would be in a sticky situation…?

The second question I put as it is now leaving it as “sticky situation”
@kjim, what did you put for 8? I put self-assurance because she was assuring herself that her cooking were helpful. She was reasoning her actions.

Why is it unforeseen pleasure?

I think the answer to the last question on the Dutta passage was not “unforseen pleasure”…I’m not sure exactly what it was, but it had something to do with unrealized expectations.

I also got 3 no errors in writing :/

@Evelyn The answers were 48 and 2.
