OFFICIAL SAT II BIO June 2..

i agree with the low level thing...figured it out the last second :D
also, does nobody here who took the M section remmber if the question referred to glucagon or glycogen? (i know im obsessd with this question, but i need to know lmao)

omg yeah does anybody still have that list?!

im pretty sure it was glycogen

Ok...so there was a trisomy in the sex chromosomes on the karyotype one? I thought it it was just weird because it had 46 chromatic plus 2 sex for a total of 48...

Nevermind...the question asked what would happen IF there was a trisomy

For the lab question with boiling alcohol, what were the other choices? I'm trying to remember what I put.

AW FUDGE, was it really glycogen? :( gahhh i put amino acids b/c i thought it said glucagon...=\
sorry tux idk.

for boiling alchohol, it was chlorophyll (E)

im trying to remember if i put 25 or 49 for the trisomy thing. i thot the question was worded weird..

it should be 25, the q asked for the abnormal chromosome # given by one of the parents. i know a lot of people who f'ed that up.

what did people get for the extensive membrane thing?

wat do u guys think of the curve for this one? good or bad? that bird one was pretty hard and we still havent established a sound answer for one part.

i hope its really generous :</p>

and aa6590, the answer to the boiling leaves, was it something like "remove the chlorophyll" because the leaves turned white?? i thought it was choice C? :o

it was remove the chlorophyll, but im positive its E (at least on my test).

so far i missed the 2 on the arms, 1 on the bird, and 1 on the plants, and the one with parasites/decomposers.

my hopes at an 800 are gone..

Which ones did you miss on the birds?
Okay it might've been E but i just remember i chose remove chlorophyll :)

i thot that small arm (arm 2) was the swimming one. and then, i put the ones for flying as 1 and 3 when u guys say its 2 and 3. im pretty sure u guys are right too...*****

the karyotype asked for the ABNORMAL GAMETE chromosome number..therefore it is 25.. at first I put 49..but when I reread it again it said GAMETE only..so
As for the arms..yeah flying was 2 +3 and swimming was 1. lol The ONLY way I was ABLE to figure it out is b/c of how it looked like..cause the first one looked like a turtle flipper.. lol.. i didn't even look at bones at all.. if they didn't draw that stuff around the bones, I would have gotten most of them wrong. lol
Well I REALLY hope that the curve is generous. =D

what about the gene linkage q?

It was that they are on the same chromosome and mix during crossing over.

Okay wait for teh gene linking question, what were the I,II, and III
was it somethng like:

(I) Located on the same chromosome
(II) SOMETHING
(III) Can cross over or some **** like that

What was II?

About the bird question, the first thing to do was have the scientists figure out the population dynamics and ecology about the starlings, that was the answer to the first question. And for the next one, it was introduce a virus specific to that species. If you read the conservation and ecology chapters in your Bio books it will say it there. They're like the last chapters I think...

It was TWO answers.. i put II b/c it was located on the same chromosome..but i think the answer was I and II..but on your chart thingy then it would be I and III..
Sam I Am: Idk..for the last one I put inro. new species..

It wasn't introduce a new species since scientists wouldn't do that because introducing a new species is what got them into the mess in the first place. If they did, the new species would be competing for resources with the native species in addition to the starlings and even more of the native species would be in danger of extinction.
