Official SAT II Scores Thread: May 2006

another note....' standardized test scores all combined (including SAT, SAT II, AP) cound for jsut as much as extra curriculars, reccommendations and essays combined."

one more sorry, just to keep in mind for all you crazies that are retaking so much.............."Harvard rejects three out of five applicants with perfect SATs."

enough said.

Bio: 740
Math II: 720
USH: 700

I'm a ****ing retard, I procrastinated so much and took these three cold turkey (without any practice, just ~3 hours of review each). I'll most likely retake Bio & Math II (I want 780, 800) and add on Physics in October; I'm probably going to just ignore USH. I'm self-studying Physics in the summer, so I think things will work out.

:( :/

For DH, hardly "enough said". That means that perfect scores get admitted with a 40% rate at Harvard. That's much higher than their val admit rate and more than 4 times better than their regular admit rate.

Most people only have three (good) SATII scores, right..?

Thanks DH for the info. Pressure is lifted off my shoulders. :)

680 US History
650 Chem

Should I retake? I'm definitely not aiming for any ivies. Would these scores be fine at top 30 schools?

what~?? so you're saying 700 and 800 are really the same thing? or is that system apply just for Harvard?

Biology 800!!!!!!!!

I was soo scared of checking, because my mom was giving me death threats if i didn't score above 750.

iic-790
chem-780
crap i was expecting 800 for both!!!!!!!!!!!! (on top of that this was the 2nd time taking both of them)

"one more sorry, just to keep in mind for all you crazies that are retaking so much.............."Harvard rejects three out of five applicants with perfect SATs."

enough said."

And probably 9 out of 10 who have non-perfect SATs :)

"my mom was giving me death threats if i didn't score above 750."

Scary!

yay 800 for physics despite the weirdness of the test

Lit: 770 (was expecting around a 700 or slightly less, so very pleasantly surprised)
USH: 770 (was expecting about the same, that was one of the easiest tests I have ever taken in my life)

You guys, of all test scores SAT IIs seem to matter the least. Less than a 700 is not the end of the world, and if you get anything above a 700 for the love of god leave it alone. Who's been telling all of you that a 740 is bad? Tell whoever's been telling you that blls*t to get a life.

Man, I shouldn't have gone into these tests cold; if I studied a bit, I'm thinking I could have top notch scores...

Math Level II: 790
Physics: 750
US History: 740

Those ARE top notch scores by any standard. Seriously, who's been telling you guys that anything below an 800 is just not good enough? I don't get it.

Literature 800!!!!! :) :) :)
Chemistry 790 darn .. 10 points below a perfect : (
this saturday i'm taking physics.

Omg, how do you guys do so well on Lit? I'm aiming for a 750+ this Saturday, do any of the high scorers have any tips (or secrets)? ;x

Physics - 800
Math II - 800
Chemistry - 800

:)

physics - 800
math 2 - 800
bio M and chem up next

peindre?, you can look at it this way. The difference between a 750 and an 800 will not usually make the difference in admissions. However, for me, my 800s in math II and physics are points of personal pride since I consider these to be my very best subjects. I don't mind my 660 in chemistry because it is a respectable score (yes, it is) and chemistry simply isn't as important to me.
