Official SAT II scores thread

Math Level 2: 790 (goddammit, one freaking question ...)
USH: 690 (waited till 7 months after APUSH to take it, can't say I'm displeased)

Preparation: Well, apart from taking pre-requisite math and history courses at school, I took one practice test for each test, and didn't look over what I did wrong >_>

lit- 740!!!!!!
eep, i'm so excited I didn't bomb that. you have no idea...

biology M- 690

meh. whatever. No Duke for me :(

Math Level 2- 800
US History-800 (8 months after the class ended!)

Good job, ssnack :) 800 on USH? I'm probably going to take that exam too, can't say I'm too excited --

Good job everyone else here too, I see plenty of 800s and quite a lot above 700s as well.

I'm mainly posting because I got a bone to pick with some of you. Those who don't prepare at all and get 800s, do you really not prepare at all?, or just have really good memories from prior classes, or are just lucky? or you take a brief look at a review book..? or is it a subject area you just are strong in..?

Any justicification? I'm feeling stupid (all good-natured of course, I can accept the fact that people are smarter than me :))

Well, for my Lit 800, I didn't prep at all. I am in an AP English Language class but I don't know if that helped. I'm just strong in this area, both naturally (heh) and because I've been blessed with an excellent education.

My 790 language came with prep, not a whole lot but quite a bit (coupled with AP language class)

Math...I'll need to study really hard to get 720+ on SAT1. Definitely not strong.

Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing it up :) A lot of people say that they took, for instance, biology, without studying at all, and come up with 800s or 790s. I don't know how they do it, but you cleared it up for me at least with the languages :) Thanks!

math 2: 780
what %ile do you guys think this is?

US History in May, Im in APUSH,and the test is the day after the AP, pretty sweet

Nice job on Math 2. I'm going to wait till the last possible minute to take the math 2 test. I may not even take it if it's not required.

Yeah I'm doing US History in May and believe it or not, I'll be done with SAT2s! (unless I have to do math of course).

anyone know if Harvard requires math2c? (I have a 720 SAT1 math and pretty sure I'll have a 5 on Calc AB.)

math 2c 790... really wanted that 800. now if i just didnt completely guess on that last stupid question... sigh. retake.

Don't tell me you got a 790 just because of one question???

dont retake a 790 on a iic??? its really bothersome to retake it and not very useful!

Would you guys say that a 700 on the SAT math level 2/physics 650 is pretty good?

Also can people explain to me why a low 700 to some people is like considering so bad, I mean it feels like I will look so bad for colleges? Does it?

math 2c 790... really wanted that 800. now if i just didnt completely guess on that last stupid question... sigh. retake.

You my friend have problems... first of all a 790 and 800 have almost virtually no difference. Secondly there is NO way a college will not accept you because you didnt get an 800. And thirdly are you so sure that you will get an 800 next time? 790 on IIC is not just 1question missed (its like 6 or more) - are you so sure you will pull an 800 next time?

i got a 790 in US history the day after i took the ap US exam, which i ended up getting a 5 on... the timing is perfect for all your US history buffs out there

i got a 750 in math IIC last year in the jan. administration after doing a lot of studying through barron's book... it's completely retarded to retake a test you get a 750 in, but i was just pressured to do it and kinda did it spur of the moment this time, everyone around me was getting 800's and i knew i could if i just relaxed... all i did for this time around was take ONE practice test through princeton, which i ended up getting a score of like 740... haha... but i still came in cool and relaxed when i took the test, knew i really had nothing to lose since i got a 750 before, and i got an 800 on math IIC, virtually no studying

however, i tutor high school math (algebra - calculus) through a professional tutoring company, and boy, that goes a LONG way in reinforcing those concepts that are on the test

math IIC 800
Physics 750 T______T

Biology M-600 (this was the test I took in Jan. I haven't finished AP Bio, and my school has a very lackluster science department)
Lit-650
Math 2- 720
USH- 750

(cleary, these are NOT good scores, but how much bearing do you think this could have on admission to a top tier school if everything else is good?)

Bio M- 800
Chem- 760 (was definitely not expecting this, happy)
Math 2C- 720 (Ouch... I thought I got 780-800... Oh well, It's 700+ and my other scores are good).

hey for those who got a 720 on math level 2 how many you think or know that you miss or got wrong out of 50?
