Hey did anybody get a lot of Bs in a row and then a lot of As in a row?? Otherwise, how did it go for everybody? Anybody remember questions from the test. What scores are you expecting?

yes on B's
I did horrible
I am expecting 500+

how difficult is the spanish test, I don't know if I want to take it or not

i rememeber the passage about mars. the first question asked what the scientists wanted to do. i remember in the passage it said that they wanted to colonize it but the only answer that sounded like that was "establecer un base" which means establish a base. does anyone remember the answer? it was the first question for that passage

i thought the passage was about the moon and I do remember answering establish a base because none of the other answers made sense. I did not do so well on the vocabulary part!! I don't think the spanish test is very difficult but it does not have a great curve.

yeah the moon that was it. i put establish the base too. the vocab was kinda hard. alot of the words im sure ive never heard used in my 3 1/2 years of spanish classes but only had exposure to from reading magazines and watching telenovelas (im part cuban). i know i omitted 2 so i hope i can get an 800.

Geez. This test was really hard for me and I've had six years of spanish instruction and three weeks spent in Spain over the past summer! Just a word of advice to all of you thinking about taking this test: The Princeton Review book really only skims what you need to know for the test, which in truth is a native ear and the practice tests are not in accord with the actual test. Barron's is much closer to the actual test and provides a thorough review of what you need to know. Good luck!!!

I omitted 5. I am hoping for at least a 600 so I can place out of Spanish 4 at UNC-CH, but a 700+ would be awesome (not expecting). I put establish a base. Did you guys have 6 B's in a row at the beginning(6-11)? I knew that looked wierd, but they all seemed right. I find out on the last day of exams...come on...
I think I did pretty good (27-30) on the first section, and decent on the paragraph comp (50% or so) but am not expecting to have done well on paragraph completion. Just hoping for the best. And yes, I thought that Barron's is a great preparation for the test. I just don't like their paragraphs, waaaayyyy too long.
Sorry for the delayed response...

hey how about the last passage? the like second or third question. the passage was about two guys going to some i think hotel to look for some other guy, but they couldn't find him, only something about a racket, and then they called the police and talked to the hotel staff and couldn't figure out where he had gone. that one question, it was like from the passage, what can we infer? and i narrowed it down to something about that the guy played tennis, and something about hiding, but i think it was solia escondido, which was like, he was used to hiding, and i went with that.... sorry i don't remember very much about it. does anybody remember that passage or that question?

i think i got it wrong. i don't think it should have been "he was used to hiding" but i forgot what solia meant. and something to do with tennis seemed too easy with the blatant placement of raqueta.
i think that's what it all was. sorry if i'm completely remembering stuff wrong

Whenever I read it at first, I just thought they were friends. But the second time I read it, it seemed as though they worked at the hotel. That was a difficult passage. Just 8 more days...
So what do you think the curve will be like? Should it be higher or lower than on the Real SAT II curve? I got about a 600 on that, but I didn't finish it cuz I was lazy. So I'm hoping for a 650 or so.
