Official Sat Ii Ush Post Test Discussion

What wasn't being produced in America in 1840? I said petroleum.

I said petroleum as well

if you were to leave 8 blank and miss like 10-15 questions is there any chance of a score over 700?

What was the one about US-Mexico relations towards the end? I was stuck between A (US sent back Mexican immigrants from the revolution) and E (Pancho Villa), and put E in the end.

Another one I wasn't sure on was the textiles question. Wasn't sure between the Embargo Act and good railroad system, and I think I put Embargo Act.

i said as well in the princeton review it says "it was another tax specifically aimed at raising revenue"

Yes, it was Pershing and Pancho Villa. And the Stamp Act was about taxing. Remember no taxation without representation?

I said Pancho Villa, it was raid to kill their leader or something, if I were them I think I'd get ****ed off hahah

I think I said railroads for the one with the Embargo Act. Which question was that?

Can someone compile a list of the answers?

My answers:

Pancho Villa
Indentured servants could not marry
Religious middle class ppl
Fishing + Hunting
Undermining religious values of PA
etc

Why were Canadian colonies not as successful?

yeah it was railroads

What were the other choices for the Pancho Villa one?

I said b/c of bad communication

Oh the Embargo Act thing was about the initial development of the New England textile industry. I put railroads too, because the answer said COMPLETE building of railroads which didn't occur that early on.

Religious middle class ppl? Which question was that?

Who supported abolition or w/e

I said because not as many settlers wanted to move to the French colonies and I'm about 100% sure that is the right answer.:)

The religious middle class ppl had to do with who supported the Antislave Society. I don't know if it's right though. What did everyone else get for the lack of success of the Canadian colonies?

EDIT: Yeah, I put that as well. It failed to attract colonists. Not sure though.

I put in that there weren't as many colonists, seeing as how the other answers were pretty questionable..
