Official Sat Ii Ush Post Test Discussion

I said the upper class, but Im being told its religous folk. Darn. Thats 3-4 wrong now. Hopefully no more :) Anyone remember anything else?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure lack of colonists was the right answer.

I put business leaders and stuff for that one. The one most of you got religious people for.

What was the significant about the border states?

So what did laissez-fair business ppl want gov't to regulate? Tariffs or highways?

EDIT: Border states I put strategic location + resources for the Union...

I looked up the one about New France. It's because it didn't have France's support. I said it was lack of communication.

I said they were good strategic places for the Union, and I said Tariffs. Did anyone else notice that there was an identical polical cartoon/question to the one on the AP? haha

Yep, the one with Wilson and the League...same with a quote about Social Darwinism.

Can anybody provide a raw to 800-scale conversion?

Damn...I don't think anyone put the answer choice about French support. I put lack of colonists. Bleh.

Yes and yes. My teacher pounded the importance of the border states into our heads!

wat about the checks and balances question

I said voter age or w/e, thats not part of checks/balances

yeah voter restrictions, i thought the border states surrounded the union captial

I think most abolitionists were wealthy people from the cities because the cities typically were the hubs of abolitionist sentiment. William Lloyd Garrison was from Boston, and a number of antislavery societies started in the cities. The "wealthy" part may make it untrue, though... :(
Also, the border states, I think, provided resources. The border states were Missouri, Kentucky, Maryland, and Delaware. Not all of them surrounded the Confederate capital of Richmond, Virginia.

And the question about Social Darwinism was identical as well!

Yea, I didnt notice that cuz basically i read the first line or two on the AP and on this and knew the answer haha

The answer for the border states was both resources and strategic position. So, was it petrleum?

yes i had petro

what was a sign in the 1920s of something bad baout the economy
federal deciet? inflation?

I picked decline in agricultural prices, cuz I remembered it from something, I'm not too sure though
