Official SAT Subject Test - Biology E/M - June 2015

@IequalSmart what type of tissue is commonly found in gut lining

@IequalSmart something like cells lining the gut show which of the following?

^it didn’t say tissues but something similar to that

oh dang, I was about to say tight junctions but honestly I thought that the “tight” part might make the answer incorrect. i was aware that a lot of diffusion needs to occur in the epithelium, but I guessed the extracellular matrix answer instead.

and I said sporophyte for the dominant plant stage or whatever, but for the one where it said “is where there is a diploid organism”, I wasn’t sure if it was asking where the diploid organism was created or when it is living in the cycle.

What was the answer to the question about a white plant connected to a green plant?

@vmiller7723 what do you think for what ayraify said for the sporophyte?

@amck4321 parasitic

Don’t think that was a choice- only remember something about chloroplasts and absorbing nutrients

@asiankid88 well that’s only if you answered all the questions. I skipped like 7 or 8 questions and probably missed at least 6. I either got a low score in the 700s or a high score in the 600s.

@amck4321 well, it was something saying that it’s a BAD thing because it attaching on to its roots would be absorbing nutrients

I think it was absorbing nutrients.

Sporophyte was for two answers. The two plants was that one was absorbing nutrients. And then tight junctions, yes.

@CGlynn do you by any chance remember the gene family question or the stem cell question?

@asiankid88 I feel like the stem cell question was two of them or three of them… the gene family remind me of the question please.

@CGlynn similar group of genes but have overlapping features… is it caused by substitution, duplication, inversion, and two other choices i forgot

I said duplication. What did you say for the stem cell question?

@CGlynn i only put one of them  i didn’t know they could cure diseases, only grow limbs

@asiankid88 Yea I said cure diseases and grow limbs… I’m pretty sure they can do both those things right?

I don’t even remember if it was grow limbs…

What did some other people say for the stem cell thing?
