@CGlynn for the stem cells it was only two of the available three Roman numeral options.
I got the same thing as you—curing diseases and growing limbs.
Yea I definitely said two of them for the stem cells. One did not make sense at all.
Did people say duplication for the gene family one?
I said curing diseases and growing limbs, but I just guessed. That made the most sense to me
@CGlynn I am 100% sure it is duplication
I’m feeling around 8-9 wrong, so hopefully around a 760
@CGlynn you got it right, don’t worry.
@CGlynn REALLY? i got around those wrong too. which questions did you miss?
@Boltingflame it was like a gene family is a group of similar genes that overlap in function. What would cause this?
@asiankid88 So far I know I got the carbohydrates vs fats one (with energy) wrong because I forgot to change to fats even though I realized the answer was fats. I’m also assuming I got the pine tree one wrong, and then I mostly likely got some other ones wrong. We’ll see, no use worrying about it.
College Board says the scores come out June 25th. Will it come out earlier or on that day do you guys think?
@CGlynn what did you get for the tree ones
I said the rainfall thing, but who knows what it was.
The stem cell one was the two answers besides “creating new species” or something like that. I’m signing off, we can’t change our answers now. Good luck everyone
Anyone worried about their scores? I missed probably 8 or 9 but I skipped around 6 or 7. Idk if that’s going to get me a 700…
@CGlynn same here it’s gotta be rainfall
God help our scores.
@AnniiT I’m a bit worried as this was my first subject test and I’m just hoping I did well.
@thethinkingman same here! I didn’t like the questions on the test at all. It was so much different than the Barron’s (literally there were some questions on the actual test that weren’t covered in my review book, which caused my pace on the test to be a little slower than normal) and plus there were at least 3 topics that weren’t taught in my class) and with only 60 minutes to answer 80 questions, you really have no time to go in depth with one question. And also, why can’t they give us more time? There are people who are extremely smart but think slow. Just because of that, they may get a low score, which is not impressive to colleges. However, in reality, they are very intelligent. If college board really wants to do this, get up and freaking make review books so we can get a general idea of what’s going to be on the test. I’m talking about review books for the different tests, not 1 huge book with 1 test ONLY for each subject test.
@AnniiT that’s the reality of these tests. They don’t judge your intelligence. They judge your ability to take tests.
@soporificpeafowl vitamin= can’t synthesize all of them, don’t remember reptile/amphibian lung capacity and don’t remember most conserved gene question…
