Official SAT Subject Test - Chemistry - June 2015

Shoot that’s suppose to be electron

There was a tf tf ce question like “ch4 acts as a base in water” or something. what did u guys get?

I hope it’s like AP test… when over 65% of students missed a question they’ll throw it out

@Homsar F F. CH4 can’t gain an H+, and CH4 has no lone pairs since carbon is never surrounded by lone pairs

@apactstudent
Yes, it does. The reaction occurs both ways, it doesn’t go to completion. I wouldnt say that it FORMS and acid, because CO2 is only slightly soluble in water (that’s why you can collect it over water).

Does anyone remember any more questions?

Did the west coast kids take it yet

Does anyone remember what the spectator ions were for the chemical reactions?

Spectator Ions were Na+ and Cl- . Like to confirm

Yeah

@Arpeggio206 That’s what I said. I’m feeling kind of bad about this test though :frowning:

Did oxygen have the most valence electrons?

I got Na+ and Cl- as well, but I was not sure.

I feel the worst. I think I got lower than 700 man.

I am pretty sure that cesium had the most valence electrons.

No it was oxygen.

I thought it was vanadium

Oh, I thought the person said electrons in total. My bad.

I think vanadium had the most amount of unpaired electrons. Can anyone confirm?

Whoops it was oxygen
