@fireonice I’m pretty confident it was one and two
@ccstudent101 it was like which of the following can we infer about the house according to what the husband and wife said about the passage? I picked I only (like house was old), others picked I and II (which was that the house = evocative of romance and mystery). But for example the husband scoffed at the wife thinking that it was.
@fireonice Patronizing was partial support I’m pretty sure. The sentence said something like “he wouldn’t be a martyr for it”, meaning he wouldn’t die/completely give himself over to the idea
I picked I and II as well for that question. Also was the answer to one of the questions from the play excerpt talking about the tone earnest?
I put earnest, but only because the other answers made much less sense
Apparently this test was a repeat from a test in 2006.
I too put winter for the public service/job question. . .
There was something with capricorn and stuff. . and directions. I don’t remember my reasoning but. . yeah.
I put that the children provided brief respite. . and possibly something about how they reminded her of their father. . (unless those were both answers to one question or something. . in which case I chose the first)
I took the test cold . . . kind of spur of the moment lol. . it was ok .
Wasn’t winter for the poem about the flowers/plants? Or am I wrong?
I know the public service one talked about Sol and Capricorn and it would be the right answer for both anyways
I don’t think any poem had flowers/plants as the subject. But I might be mixing up my Kaplan tests with the real tests.
I think the very first passage used nature. Then the one with the women writing to her husband was the one with the seasons.
Over and Over Stitch was used, and that was about plants (mostly).
So what do you guys predict your scores to be?
I’m thinking/hoping for a score at least in the 600s, preferably above 650. I know that a score in the 700s is a long shot.
I’m really hoping for >750 but I truly don’t know what to expect, since I’d been scoring on the high 600s/low 700s in all my practice tests, and it seems like the curve for this test is usually pretty harsh since only the best literature students take it :-/
740
700 Thinking about a retake.
- Lmao, took this on a whim, knowing how brutal the curve was.
@Dilan412 it’s like the 82nd percentile or something, I wouldn’t worry about it if I were you
I also got a 700
Is everyone here planning on submitting their Lit scores? By the looks of it, 700+ is a solid score and not a lot of people take this exam to begin with.
Penn, my ED school, requires all scores so I guess I have to. Because they only require 2 tests though, my top 2 are 800 Math2 and 760 USH.
GUYS I GOT A 740 AND I TOOK THIS TEST COLD AND I MIGHT HAVE A HEART ATTACK BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY.
i’mliterallycryingrightnowomgihavenolife
Disclaimer: Yes, I know that a 740 is probably in the 80-90th percentile -or lower- I’m just really happy because I signed up for it on a whim (I was planning to study but I got really lazy after APs :\ junioritis ya kno)
@zombiethingie is the curve bad for lit?
