I got 770. About 15 guessing
Free of SAT 2 physics at last!
I got a 730 is that good?
Depends on what you are applying to. A 730 means that you missed 24-25 raw points so you can decide if that can be improved upon. This is based on the BB curve.
How bad is 660 for a rising senior who took Honors Physics as a freshman?
660 means you missed nearly half of the raw points I think. Can’t remember the curves off the top of my head.
Yeah, it’s like 42-45/75.
I realize how bad it is.
I got a 730, I am fairly pleased
I thought it was really hard and got a 720. I just took ap physics one and didnt know some of the optics and thermodynamics stuff which was on there quite a bit.I really don’t know how that is for applying to top schools but I’m a lot more dissatisfied with my lit score of 670.
I think something that should be more visible is that none of the AP physics courses alone qualifies you enough for the subject test. I took both C classes, and I honestly didn’t feel prepared. Yes, kinematics and E&M are a large part of the subject test, but I had never been exposed to optics, relativity, thermal physics, or modern physics. I had to learn them all on my own when o realized I didn’t know enough.
So to those of you who are considering the physics subject test, make sure you learn all of the material that’s tested, not just what’s in your class.
Got the score today. Barely above 700. No time to retake.
@BEDAJO There is no SAT Subject Test that requires AP preparation in order to perform well, so it should be no surprise that AP Physics C would not prepare one for the SAT Subject Test.
I’m really upset. I got a 610. I took AP Physics 1 but I studied all the other topics on my own and felt really good about them. I consistently scored in the high 700s on all the practice tests I took. I actually felt good after the yet seen though I left a few blank so seeing this is very upsetting. I’m a rising junior, do you think its worth my time to retake it? Otherwise I was thinking of taking Chem, Math 2, and US History after my junior year, would it be better to just focus on those? It’s just frustrating because I worked so hard for this… Also, does this take me out of the running for really competitive schools who want to see all your test scores? How much of a difference will a 610 make?
- Not gonna get it at Columbia/Yale...
Will a 730 be good enough for Boston College, BU, and Middlebury?
I get 750 and I have taken honor physics&AP physics test this year. I read through PR and did all the practice test but when I take the actual test I still found many concepts I wasn’t aware of. Should I look at the BARRON’S BOOK or sparknotes when I already did all the problems on PR? Need to retake it because I’m an engineering student…
I disagree codinggeek, I really doubt a 750 will make the difference between admission and rejection, I would spend your time in a different manner tbh
I had a 720 in physics, but thankfully an 800 in the Math 2 is that good enough for Cornell AAP?
800
Math II thread everyone is pooping out 800s, I guess Physics is harder I suppose?
