Official SAT Subject Test - US History - June 2015

I said started WWI
but it could also say that U.S had stricter policy about something.

Yea, I put that too

Was the impact of the French & Indian War that it expanded the British empire in North America?

If you recall, the question stated what was an IMMEDIATE consequence. The U.S did not enter the war immediately after the sinking of the Lusitania, in fact, Wilson urged against it. I believe the correct answer was it led to increased military preparations for the upcoming war.

But the French and Indian war didn’t expand it because Britain refused to colonized west of the Appalachian though right?

@Mango920452 I agree with you.

@TheAtlantic technically speaking, you could argue that. But the British gained all of Canada as well as the area to the east of the Mississippi as a result of the French and Indian war, and the question said" expanded the British empire in North America".

I really hope -10(including penalties) is an 800. That’s how it was in the blue book.

But the question also gave the choice that it ended colonization west of the Appalachian, which seemed more accurate to me.

Wait, did the question ask: what was an important consequence of the French and Indian war?

I don’t think Colonization to the west of the Appalachian Mountains existed that much before 1763, because it was technically the territory of France before the war ended

Yeah, now that I think about it you may be right.

What was the answer to the red scare question?

@steph1234 What did the question ask?

It was that it ended with raids by the justice department . See the Palmer raids for more info. @steph1234

The more I think about this test the worse I feel
