Congrats! Could the finalists post their stats?

I am beginning to doubt the truth of the finalist claims--decisions e-mailed on a Sunday and federal holiday? I dunno...

hehe I don't doubt veracity of the finalists, but I hope against hope that not all the decisions have been sent out yet.

i called today and they said they have received my scholarship application woohoo!!!

Nomad, you can also check your Engineering Fellowship app status online:

stats: 1600 sat, 800's sat 2's, some science, music, nhs, key club stuff

did anyone else get an email about the moog scholarship? it says they're going to make an e-mail mailing list for the finalists to get in touch..

dammit okay lol didnt know that. Anyway dont haev a SSN so...

I am a Mylonas finalist and got notified Monday morning. Well, it reached me then - it might have been mailed on Sunday.

stats: 1530 SAT Is, 790 - 720 SAT II's, 17 AP classes (yeah, I know, it's the block scheduling), valedictorian, Latin club, NJCL, NHS, Science Bowl, etc.

Only 17 APs??? :)

Well, that's if you count both halves of AP Physics C as one, which I do. ;)

It's a lot, I know, but it's not extremely abnormal here. The valedictorian before me didn't have as many, but the 2003 valedictotian had about that many. If you are diligent and not in band or chorus, you have 32 credits at your disposal and can do just fine.

wow, that's pretty nice. What other schools have you applied to? you have like a really good shot at any of the ivies.

Haha, I just applied to Wash U, Vanderbilt, Saint Mary's College (sister to Notre Dame), and UF. The latter two were backup. I really have no money for college (make no money as opposed to can't spare any), so it's mostly been determined by financial aid. I'm really excited about Wash U, though - it's definitely my number one choice, as both my best friend and my better half go there.

The Ivies are nice, but I am eccentric and not moneyed. I don't think I'd fit in at any of them.

(asfafan - if you want, you can IM me on AIM at veritydeception - am new and feel bad about imposing on messageboard space!)

Wow! I'm so glad that you got into your first choice school! Also, you are more deserving to talk on here than many of us-well, definitely me. Anyway, talk to you on AIM.

Hey- I was accepted ED II and applied for the Moog Scholarship. Unfortunately, I haven't received an e-mail saying that I was chosen for a finalist. Does that mean that there is no chance for me? Or is it possible that Wash U would just send me a letter informing of me of its decision? Is the process of informing applicants different for those who applied Early and those who applied Regular? I would love any advise from anyone who has been notified about the Honorary Scholarships. Thanks.
