What are the ACT codes for Seoul National University? I can’t seem to find them on their site.
Is this still open? I am an Irish student and I have a completely education system to everything I have just seen. We have the Leaving Certificate and that’s marked out of 600 points all together. You pick six to eight (nine if you’d like) subjects and get marked for your highest six. I do seven. Maths, English, Irish and another European language is compulsory. Then you have your different marking schemes from higher level/advanced to ordinary level. Subjects taken at higher re marked out of 100 points and subjects taken at 60 points.
The subjects I take, all at higher level, are maths, English, Irish, French, geography, biology and music. I would love to do classical music/bachelors of music at SNU. So far, according to teachers and careers guidance counsellor, I am so far averaging at 450/600 (audience gasps) (Bear in mind, different education system and this is a pretty good score (but if you did the math, you can tell that I’m really not that intelligent and probably not cut out for SNU… but I can dream))
I am an average student at best, my Korean is basic (eg, I can order food and ask for directions. That’s it.) My strengths lie within my music (mainly violin, but also piano). I have played with orchestras around Ireland and attended chamber music workshops too. I have grade 8 ABRSM in both and ABRSM grade 8 theory.
2015-2016 I did 100 hours of volunteer work/community service.
I’m not trying to show off because I know compared to other people, this all looks pretty… mediocre, at BEST. I’m just wondering if based in the above information, can anyone come back to me?
My final year of highschool starts this September.
Ahah, I’m with you! I’m a Swedish student, so my specs are totally different from the ones I’ve seen in this forum so far. Quite disheartening, to be honest.
Im not sure if this forum is still active but I recently applied to SNU Pre-med program as a 12-year international student eligibility.
My SAT scores are kinda low (super scored 2040) but my gpa is pretty high and I did APs but I did not submit any. I did 4 clubs during high school with numerous awards and experiences. Also, I am attending UC Berkeley at the moment as an Integrative Biology student pursuing premed courses there as well. I also have a lot of research and internship experiences at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles and worked under a USC professor on his research on eye cancer.
any info on snu med would be great!

Btw, I know about the 12 year advantage for Korean students who have studied abroad. I am qualified for that as well.
