hiphopduck - were you scoring well on all your practice tests? When you left the test facility, did you feel you did well? perhaps you marked your answers wrong (like skipped one and that threw off all the rest). That seems unlikely if you did worse on all sections, but might explain one bad one. Otherwise, I don’t have any explanation for you. Maybe the April test was just that much easier (my daughter felt the June one was easier than the Sept one). You can order your answers and test questions only on the ‘national’ test dates, so I don’t think you can even get them from this sitting. If I were you, I would just be happy with the 30 you got previously and move on to the rest of your app.

search the forum. i have read several threads in the past where they had ACT hand score and it was an error. there was a mom who somehow got it done really fast but usually it takes 3 months acc to ACT. Lots of people think there’s something fishy about this test. Weirdly people either did much better or much worse than they thought they would.

I’m pretty content with my scores. Had a 30 on the June test, so a 3 point jump is awesome! I’m definitely not retaking in October because college applications are now my top priority.
Congrats everyone!

I’m ecstatic. I prepped a lot and was lucky some of the science and reading I already knew. Never been a good writer, and generally I get 8s so a 10 is awesome. Funny part is that this is only a little above my class average we are a public school with at least six perfect acts.

I was hoping for a 36 on math and reading… But that would’ve still been 35. I was already expecting 34 for reading and science. My last two scores were 32 with 36 in math in one test and 36 science on the other. I’m so happy I finally raised that score!

Hey guys, I got my scores this morning. I did not need to use the early trick, they were available for me directly through the ACT website. Here are my scores and their relevance to my June scores
Composite - 28 (+2)
English - 28 (+3)
Math - 34 (+7)(very surprised!)
Reading - 24 (-2)(didn’t finish)
Science - 26(+2)(didn’t finish)
Hoping to improve on reading and science, I hope my math score wasn’t a fluke!

Does anyone have any advice on raising reading and science scores? I’m guessing taking more practice tests in the answer.

Guys should I retake my 32 ACT?

I took it twice, but I’m not sure if getting a 33 is worth shelling out another 50 something bucks.

My 32 is at or above the 75th percentile at most schools on my list.

@jibler I’d say retake it. Put in a little more work and who knows you may bump up to a 33 or 34 and get a better scholarship. It would make the $50 worth it.

I was hoping for a 33, but this isn’t too bad.

1420 SAT

Any other opinions on whether or not I should retake?

Is a 33 equivalent to a 1450 Math/CR SAT score?

Lol, they should get rid of the science section. So useless.

wow bubinski ur a fail

jibler, don’t retake unless you feel the score is not reflective of your abilities. If you’re retaking to get a 33, there is no meaningful difference bt a 32 and 33. All standardized tests represent a range and colleges know this. You will be better off to spend the time on your applications or keeping your grades up. The only other reason to retake is if you are applying to STEM programs and your math is low.
