Official Stanford SCEA 2017 Applicants' Discussion Thread

I heard that the website would have a notice on the day of the results, but what site? The Undergraduate Admissions site?

@GlobalDolphin: They won’t tell the truth. In last year’s thread people called a bunch of times and all they got was conflicting information. Maybe if someone wants to ask and see if “The decision might come out before the time stated on the legacy letter.” Perhaps they’d allude to an earlier release.

@PaeP3nguin: It would be here. [Admission News : Stanford University](<a href=“Page Not Found : Stanford University”>Page Not Found : Stanford University)

Ok I just called and asked if they would come out before the 15th, and the person said there was no way he could predict it, that the 15th is the “tentative date.” So that gives us no new info. :/

I still think it will be the 7th! Think, hope, pray… haha

Am I the only one that has an RSS feed of that page updating every five minutes on my phone? haha

I’m not refreshing the page constantly yet. I know they will tell us the morning of, and I know it won’t be earlier than the 7th.

I just got my finals schedule though, and if I didn’t want to get into Stanford before, I sure do now! If I have to stress about these finals, I am not going to have a fun time.

Whether it’s the 7th the 14th or any day in between I just want to say that all of you are such unique and talented individuals and no matter what happens I know every single one of you find your place in this world as university students. We should all be swollen with pride of just the fact that we attempted such an endeavor and no matter the results remember you gave it your all and never forget you are absolutely remarkable and marvelous people!

Stanford Admission Decision

SAD.

hahhhha ironic.

Thanks so much raqbau, you’re totally right! It’s amazing to just have the chance to apply and have a shot. Of course, getting in would certainly be nice :)

Hey I just got in!

[LATTC | Los Angeles Trade Technical College](http://college.lattc.edu/)

I think some congratulations are in order, I hope all of you are so lucky!

SAT: 2230

That would be really lame if I didn’t get in because I was 1 point short from not getting a 2250+… I feel ■■■■■■■■ seeing all these 2300+ plus, I should’ve taken it more seriously and taken a retake or something… Oh well.

Why do they feel the need to torture us by not telling us the date the decisions are released? :(

Also @raqbau , I find it amusingly ironic that you delivered such a nice, optimistic message on post 666. hahaha

@20tigger17: haha i know that would be very nice

@homerunhitter36: lol i just noticed that… i hope that’s not a sign or anything  and i totally agree with you about the decision date they should just tell us so we can ease some of the desperation -.-

@hanginrainbow: I doubt that will make or break you. I got that score my first time (I only took it twice), and I almost didn’t take it again… except for the fact that I only missed one math question and got a 760. I wanted an 800. (Funny story. I studied only math (I’m a math person, I just make careless errors/haven’t done math like SAT math in a long time), yet my math score dropped 20 points and I got 800’s in writing and reading.)

@raqbau: I agree. I’ve never really bought into the whole “you were good enough to apply” thing because anyone technically can apply, but I do agree that all of us on here should go great places and we will all end up somewhere great. Just look at the people who got rejected from Stanford in last year’s thread. They all ended up somewhere great.

I finally caved and made an account! Hahaha.

I applied REA and submitted an arts supplement, which I’m pretty sure wasn’t even looked at lol.

I’m REALLY hoping that the decision comes out the 7th. I’m SO DONE WAITING!

Does anyone have any concrete or convincing support that it’ll come out the 7th? The fact that Columbia comes out the 6th and Stanford usually comes out the day after was pretty convincing, but I’d like some other pieces of support  Because right now, I’m 60% sure that it’ll be the 7th and 40% sure it’ll be the 14th :(

@coffeeandtea soooo…that was a discreet way of telling us you got a 2400 superscore?
I got a 2360 first sitting but didn’t take it again :P

@amy0827: I didn’t get a 2400 superscore. I never got 800 math. I was two questions away. For some reason I just felt that I had to include the story. It’s kind of funny that the only one I studied dropped, and the other two went up. I have a 2360 superscore, 2340 single sitting.

It’s funny to think that one day soon we won’t be wondering and worrying about college 24/7. We’ll be in and this whole processes will be OVER.

I can’t wait for that day. I just want to BE in college already.

@seungyeonfan welcome! I’m feeling the 60/40 ratio too…but I said a while back I would stop thinking about it so…

@coffeeandtea Gotcha. Sorry I didn’t get it at first my brain’s pretty frazzled… as I’m sure you understand …

@amy0827: I’m pretty frazzled myself, hence the unnecessary story. AHHHld;sjagk;ajrga;jdka; Now I have to force myself to do physics.

I’m feeling a 75/25 ratio in favor of the 7th.
