** Official Stanford SCEA Countdown Thread**

they specifically say they do not track optional recs

thanks, just wanted to make sure

What does it even mean for all the things to be "processed"? Does it mean that they've looked through it all, or just that they've confirmed it's all there?

that means they've confirmed its there

cool sn bro

Is the problem of Teacher Evaluation not yet being processed still persisting for anyone?
Cause mine is still not processed....

Yeah, same here. I called them today, and they said they still have a handful of teacher recs to download, and that if they don't end up downloading it, we can just ask our teachers to redo it (which shouldn't be too bad, since I'm sure my teachers and most teachers save those things).

less than a month left!

28 days babbby

omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg

I just took 3 exams today...10 left this semester!

@Ludicolo

I am so relieved that you wrote what you did. I have been a nervous wreck about this missing teacher evaluation of mine, especially with the holidays approaching so quickly. My teacher's account shows his has submitted but not yet downloaded, so hopefully both of ours are part of the group that still need to be downloaded! All of this is just crazy. I don't know how I'm going to survive another 28 days...

I know...it's tough to imagine getting through the days till Dec. 15th.....I think that exams from 24 Nov. to 4 Dec might help me a little bit....
BTW my teacher rec. is now processed, thank god.....

luckystars, I feel your pain--it's already the 18th of November and my teacher rec still "has not been processed."

This is far too nerve-wracking....

I know! And the fact that we only have until next Wednesday, even though they haven't filed everything yet, is making this much worse than it probably should be. I contacted the Common App's Help Desk, and their response was that the only way an evaluation would not have been downloaded by Stanford yet is if my teacher requested to have it "unsubmitted." #1: He didn't. #2: It shows as submitted!

I'm pretty sure that I'm one of the most impatient people in the world. I hate not knowing!

Let's bring this thread back to the top...only 25 days left!
truthfully, im so convinced that im going to be denied now that im not as pumped as i once was...

Positive thinking, now =)

nah no positive thinking, I don't want to get my hopes up

work hard to achieve the best but expect the worst and be prepared for all that might come....
That's what my philosophy is in this case......

I agree... I don't want to get my hopes up. Heck, Stanford is a pretty hard school to get into...

According to the USNWR article dated 19th November, 2008, it says that Stanford has seen an increase of 18% in the number of SCEA applicants.....wow.....
That means that the number of applicants in SCEA may go up from 5000 to 6000 and if the no. of admits remain the same, the acceptance rate will be something like 13% down from 16% last year.....
I would have posted the link but I don't know whether its allowed.....
