@sharingan100 BU really isn’t my personality. I really don’t like anything about it. I can tolerate it, but it doesn’t have my major or support my personality. I’ve always been a social butterfly, but I’ve never felt like such an outsider than when I am at BU. I’ve already gotten rejected at Rice and Upenn so it’s not like I have a chance at getting into stanford. Best of luck though!

@moriatee yeah someone told me that it was something to do with a legacy letter and he had all these points on why he thinks it’ll come on friday. Wishful thinking got the best of me. But yeah the dude told me that he thinks its going to be Monday after I pointed out the Stanford website. Sorry for the false alarm everyone.

I also applied to columbia (with also no hope) and their decision is definitely monday. A lot of schools tend to do it on the same day so it makes sense

@soursop09 Columbia releases decisions on Tuesday, not Monday.

@soursop09 Yep, Tuesday the 13th.

Man, this thread sure got bombarded with posts! In late March, this thread hadn’t even passed 2 pages!

I hope everyone has a good weekend before the day.

has anyone added the admissions email address to their contacts, i dont know how to do it so Im hoping the email goes through to my gmail. ive gotten all their others emails just fine

Hello everyone! Thought I’d stop creeping and actually post something :)

Someone on staff contacted me. It was a former teacher who I’m surprised works there and contacts me now. Hopefully it’s not just a teasing moment.

you got a likely letter @minky44 or was it just a former teacher contacting you?

@lamelcriada You don’t actually need to add their admissions email address to your contacts. All it does is stop emails from being sent to your spam/junk mail. The only reason why they recommend people to add their email is so that those who have automatic delete settings on their junk mail box will get it. As long as you haven’t change too many of the default gmail account settings you should get it.

@sharingan100 do they give likely letters for transfers?

I’m not sure, that is why I asked :)

No, they do not.

Hi guys! I applied to Stanford as a transfer as well, and I am so nervous for Monday. Its probably going to take me hours to open the email. I am trying to stay positive and not think about it too much, but it is hard. Good luck to everyone!!

Has anyone tried checking the application status? Mine says:

Does it mean they have already tossed away my application :(?

No, your application is closed; you cannot send in new information anymore.
