So, ‘THE EXAM’ is coming up on us. I’m sure a lot of you have already started preparing (right?)… I know talk has been put up about best review books (Princeton + Viault + Crash Course)…I’m wondering if Princeton is the best one, though? My teacher gave each of us AP ACHIEVER (McGraw Hill) which seems very good. I’m trying to figure out which one to use…I compared both of the books information on the Renaissance and they both highlighted different aspects of the period. Princeton on general trends while AP Achiever went into detail about people more…

While I would love to be able to use both, I don’t think I’ll have time. I also plan to use the main review book as my main source, try to use Crash Course right before the test, and I doubt I will be able to use Viault…

SO: Which is better: Princeton or AP Achiever
AND: When/what are you all using to study? Thanks! :)

I have a question about scoring for the AP Euro test…

Let’s say you ace the Multiple Choice section on the test (obviously, I won’t, but I feel pretty confident about it) and get an average score on the DBQ (i.e. 5), but do absolutely terribly on the FRQs (i.e. 1 or 2). Would that be enough to get a 5 on the test, or would one receive a 4 for these scores?

I just don’t feel ready at all for the FRQs… I’m looking through the past FRQs, and I could maybe get in a couple points on one of the six questions.

BUMP … how’s everybody feeling about the exam that’s in (crap) less than two weeks??? I’m pretty nervous because I am SUCH a procrastinator. Plus, I have 5 other APs, so yeah, I’m living the life of fun right here … with procrastination lol >.<

Haha, I’m the biggest one around. Welcome to the club then .

It’s doubly hard for me, as I’m a senior (yup) and I’ve got senioritis. Oh yeah, and I’m too heady with happiness that it’s FINALLY warm out here in Boston/the suburbs, and that I got into my dream school for my chosen majors.

With 6 APs, and almost zero studying done so far, I’m pretty sure I won’t get ANY sleep this week or the next. There might be a sleep-depriven zombie haunting my high school soon …

And I’m using Princeton (CRAMMING with Princeton would be more accurate) for Euro.

Wooot for Princeton. I have 3 APs, but then again I’m a Sophomore. Psych I’m almost done with but Euro… let’s not go there hahaha. I’m cramming with the Princeton as well, there’s no way I’m using the textbook. I’m on chapter 2 of the Princeton, but there are only 8, though (:

We’re in the exact same place then! Wait, are you on the Rise of the Monarchial States then? That’s Ch. 2 in my book, and where I’m at too … haha.

I’m just nervous that reading PR won’t be enough (worryrat here) and so I’m TRYING to read my 1000 page Euro text, but haha, like that’s working well.

And sophomore year was my favorite year of high school! Enjoy this year, junior year is harder (for procastinators )

Yes! Absolute monarchies, Glorious Revolution, Thirty Years War! I’d read the text, but I don’t have time. So far I think the Princeton has been extremely helpful though

Have you checked AP Central at College Board’s website? They have released free-responses and MCs over there. IDK about anything else … BUMP! Guys, if you know other links to actual exams, DO TELL your fellow Euro kids!! It would be so helpful to me and the rest. :)

Is there any real difference if I use the PR 2009 Euro book instead (other than the fact that they took out the 1/4 pt deduction for incorrect MC answers)? I checked the authors of the 2009/2012 ones and they’re the same (Kenneth Pearl). I’m using Cliffsnotes, PR 2009, & CC btw.

My class is a fail, we’re not even on WWI yet lol
