Official transcript?

Hello,

I have a question regarding the official transcript that is sent from a community college to a university (whether it's state or private).

If I have taken non-transferrable courses (pre-requisite math and or english courses) will they show up on my official transcript when it's sent to my prospective college? Since the college does not accept the courses that I took, does the grade I received in that non-transferrable class affect my admission (whether good, or bad)? Is it even visible to the admissions committee? If the non-transferrable classes are visible, how can they affect ones admission into college (specifically, if the prospective student has good grades in transferrable classes like UC courses, but not so great grades in non transferrable courses)?

Thanks again guys

By the way, I am a community college student in california so by non-transferrable courses I am not referring to CSU courses that aren’t UC transferrable. I’m referring to plain old non-transferrable courses (introductory algebra, etc).

Universities consider your whole academic record including remedial classes. They decide on which courses will transfer after you are admitted. At top universities, everything matters, uncluding your high school performance. Some UC and CSU campuses may base their decisions solely on transferable GPA, I don’t remember exactly.

i think nontransferable courses do show up on your transcript but dont weigh in on their decision
