<p>So, F cal</p>
<p>where is everyone else going?</p>
<p>Either UCSD, UCD, or Obispo. I signed up for their admit days, so I'll probably know for sure in 2 weeks. USC is always top choice thought, so whichever one yields the best possibility to transfer to USC will probably be the school I'll end up going to.</p>
<p>Rejected!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!</p>
<p>wow. this is theeee worst year ever to apply.</p>
<p>and no offense to anyone, but i vote for myself as one of the most qualified rejectees.</p>
<p>S<strong><em>....I just got rejected...
I am so despondent and depressed .
After getting rejected from UCLA , i wasn't really expecting to hear from Berkeley
but I got the questionnaire thing so THAT *</em></strong>ES ME OFF...</p>
<p>All the other schools I'm waiting to hear are Ivies, meaning =less chances.
Gosh what do I do? man.....</p>
<p>Ignol2ant: Either Berkeley does not like your essays or they made a mistake. If you think your essays are decent and you want to get in, why not ask your principal to appeal for you. Have your favorite teachers write recommendation letters and if you've picked up awards or scholarships, let them know. Good luck!</p>
<p>Ignol2ant I feel the same way. I have almost identical stats. SAT 2320, SATII:800mathII, 800chem, 780 physics but rejected in the end:(</p>
<p>REJECTED ??? (See Comments)</p>

<p>[/ul]Other Factors: Admission officers had really bad stomach pain when they reviewed my file.</p>
<p>Why do you think you were accepted/rejected/waitlisted/offered guaranteed transfer:
My CR score is definitely too low due to my ethnicity. Before I submitted my application I knew that I would be rejected by many, many schools. Surprisingly, this admission season was way better than I thought! Got accepted to WUSTL and UChicago, all of Canadian schools and some huge surprise!</p>
<p>General Comments/Congratulations/etc:
Congratulation to all students accepted! You guys really deserve acceptance for your conscientiousness. To those who are rejected, I say this over and over again – do not let this rejection define you as a person. There are millions rejected who move on to achieve fulfilling and often successful lives.
I have some advice for prospective students. Definitely spend some time preparing for interviews, if applicable. I am just naturally quite talkative and persuasive. (My UChicago interview lasted for 2 hours hehe.) Definitely do a lot of research on the schools you love and really ask yourself why do you want to attend these schools. After this admission process, I now do not advise students to apply under Early Decision (ED), which is a binding commitment. I applied for Cornell ED, and I got deferred. Now I think of it, I am really glad that I did not get accepted because now I know its atmosphere is not really what I am looking for when it comes to college experience (not as intellectual as I would like it to be). I however, would strongly advise students to apply under EA to a safety school, so you have a back-up plan.
Finally, do not undermine the power of stats. Stats (grades, SAT, APs) are really, really important. I think that my CR score (680) definitely prevented me from being accepted by some top-notch colleges.
Oh and I don’t even understand my rejection letter. I think I’m offered a spring session entrance or something. Who cares. Cal is not my top choice anyway.</p>
<p>rejectedddd</p>
<p>but i dont mind! :D</p>
<p>Omgawd all you guys should appeal. Impressive stats.</p>
<p>Dude i got in with an 1880 on my sats. Plus i’m asian.</p>
<p>^ do you live in Cali?</p>
<p>^^ and what school did you apply to?</p>
<p>Oh hi well i live in california, southern california.</p>
<p>I appplied for the undergrad business program at uc berkeley, but like for the uc app it came out to be " undeclared/pre business"</p>
<p>Other universities i applied to was Harvard, Yale, Berkeley, Ucla (rejected), Uci</p>
<p>I totally wasted my efforts on my ucla appeal. It came out to be 4 pages long because i forgot to add alot of stuff. Oh well</p>
<p>I got rejected, but I made LA so i’m okay. Sorta dissapointed though, I have fairly solid stats:</p>
<p>2250 Sats
4.25 GPA weighted
3.912 unweighted</p>
<p>moderate amount of EC’s and awards</p>
<p>^^ that explains it. I’m out of state</p>
<p>^^^ that mmmmay explain it. i applied for engineering.</p>
<p>What reason should I use to appeal? My swimming? Do they even care about my swimming? LOL</p>
