Official UC Irvine Fall 2017 Transfer Applicant Thread

No change for me either. @shooguu Why would they say they start sending admissions today if they really start on Monday?

they will send an email to us once our admission status changes, so no point of refreshing our portals like crazy i guess:/

Does anyone else’s portal say that “your application has been received”? Usually it would say for other colleges that it’s under review at this point.

Did you have to fill out FAFSA to receive regents?

@78lazy6 I don’t think so. It says all applicants are automatically considered.

So is today the day? haha

No…or probably not. Regular applicants didn’t hear back the first week of April. Since TAG & honors to honors received decisions early, maybe regular applicants will? I don’t think so though

@BackNSchool83 I have a question, is there any site that UCI has that shows the classes you have to take to complete your major in total? For example, sdsu has sdsu mymap, is there something that the public can access?

@Sekime try the UCI General Catalogue. Look to the left of the page and find your college, department of major, then look under the major tab. Requirements for whatever degree should be there.

Hi, are you SDSU student?

@Sekime

@macknzie Thanks, it’s what I’m looking for!

UCI vs UCSB i’d say SB for life cuz i’ve been in the city of irvine for 7 years omfg

@KebinYu No, I’m not. I was just looking into schools I applied to, to see what courses to expect if I go there. Because a course I need to take junior year may be available at my cc.

Hi all transfers! I know many of you will soon be coming to UCI and will be looking for a place to live for next year. Fortunately, I was able to reserve a beautiful, single-person room in a luxurious 3 floor townhome. Unfortunately, I will not be able to live on campus next year and will have to give up my room to someone else - hopefully one of you guys! I understand that as a transfer, the housing process can get pretty complicated. Avoid housing waitlists and far, off-campus apartments by taking over my reservation! It’s a guaranteed spot, so you won’t have to worry about fighting for housing. It also comes fully furnished, you have your own AC unit (it can get hot out here in SoCal), your own complimentary washer and dryer, and many more features.

Please check out my listing for more information and contact info: http://offcmp.us/3mrkl7

Sek, yes if you look up your major on the school within uci you can find cert radiate degree requirements. Once you are admitted and SIR, you get an EEE account and it has a degree works program not unlike what you describe. The catalogue also has these requirements.

Do the UC’s send out admissions on weekend or just the weekdays?

@BackNSchool83 you probably get asked that a lot, but how do you like UCI? Any regrets after a year there? What have you been up to?
I remember you from the last year’s thread  I was also accepted to UCI last year, but around the same time I was offered a dream job in San Diego, and after careful consideration, I made a difficult decision to stay here and reapply to UCI next year (this year, that is). The job has been awesome, but I realize more and more as time goes by that I cannot delay getting my degree any further, so if UCI still wants me this year, I will go

@kyhg1024 I don’t think they do. Last year I got an application status change email on friday 4/15 at 3am :open_mouth: , and I think I was in one of the earliest batches, so this year I expect decisions around 4/14 (9 days - yay!)

@lenocturne Hi! Were you Honors to Honors or just a regular transfer student? I heard the majority of students started hearing back around the 21st last year so fingers crossed they start as early as the 14th!
