@CaffreyH Hmm okay, I took 2 advanced, non intro classes just in case UCI didn’t accept those classes for TAG
@shooguu so in your cc, it actually have intro and advance two classes for one programming language? In my cc , it only has one for each for example:
CS 52, C++ PROGRAMMING 3 UNITS
Transfer: UC, CSU • Prerequisite: CS 50.
This course is a continuation of C language programming using the C++ superset of C. C++ offers the following enhancements to C: operator and function overloading, information hiding, inheritance, and virtual functions. C++ will be used in the context of both traditional and object-oriented programming.
CS 87A, PYTHON PROGRAMMING 3 UNITS
• Prerequisite: CS 3.
This course introduces the Python programming language. Students will learn how to write programs dealing in a wide range of application domains. Topics covered include the language syntax, IDE, control flow, strings, I/O, classes and regular expressions. Students may use either a PC (Windows) or a Mac (Linux) to complete their programming assignments.
My CC doesn’t even have any classes call “advance C++” so what should I do? So these two classes I took doesn’t count? I ALSO CHECK there is no CS 87B ?
I also double checked assist, it says :one year of transferable computer programming courses* in Python, Java, C++,
or other object-oriented or high-level programming language. " it says PROGRAMMING COURSES!! Then it shows “Introduction to
computer science courses do not meet this requirement” be aware, it says "introduction to COMPUTER SCIENCE COURSES "doesn’t count.
the wait is killing me
@CaffreyH I took Intro to Visual Basic, Intro to C++, C++ Methodology II (2nd c++ course), and data structures in c++
Which CC did you go to btw?
@shooguu Santa Monica College they don’t have any classes call “introductions to C++” or “Advanced C++” . Only have only class call "C++ programming ".
Do you think the classes I took doesn’t count?
@CaffreyH
I think you’re okay, it seems like both classes do qualify
@shooguu does your CC do quarter? Why they separate one course into two? I hear quarter system school usually do this.
@CaffreyH
Nope semester, my intro C++ class and advanced C++ are completely different. The advanced C++ class has a lab along with tons of projects, so I think that’s why they made separate classes.
@shooguu I checked my cc classes schedule, they don’t have advanced C++.
i just want to see my financial aid .~.
4/14! Anyone? I probably won’t be able to fall asleep tonight.
Nothing on mine yet
nothing on my side either
Well obviously lol
Uci acceptance counselors are sleeping
@TransferCS no, a lot of times the admission decisions come out at midnight.
I was accepted with TAG in 2015 on April 25 (I have a dated screenshot lol). Don’t give up just yet.
Accepted! Drama major, 4.0 GPA, no TAG.
Got an email 30min ago
@TransferCS last year I got an acceptance email from them at 3am.
@erica37 yay! Congratulations!! This is awesome!
@erica37 Congrats
Do you guys know if it is starting by majors alphabetically or last names?
