@futurelawyer88 thank you! I checked last night at about 11ish and the good news was there. Good luck bud!

@spluzi Do you tagged? Thanks

how does UCI reject ? does it show on the website or we have to wait till we receive a paper or an email?

@TransferCS it would be on portal

Source: rejection when i applied from hs XD

I’ve been busy zotting it up with the start of the upper division writing requirement, so I’ve been stupid busy the last week, I come on and have over 100 notifications for this page lol! So looks like they are getting close to the big zot, the regular applicants release… Am I right? Also if you are a PSB don’t worry, you should be ok. Soon you will join me in the endless pursuit of SONA credits. That is how you get extra credit in PSB, being a research participant. Most studies are computer based, and could be traumatic if flashing twisted disturbing words at you repeatedly with strange sounds while asking you to rate your level of arousal sounds traumatic to you.

thanks for all the help @BackNSchool83

please let me know if anyone got UCI acceptance.

i had gotten in at UCI for fall 2016, and i remember getting my update around the last week of april BUT i was waitlisted. i think a lot of people forgot that’s something that can happen… if you get waitlisted, accept it and wait it out. you might still have a chance.

btw, whoever said to chill and smoke… i second the motion lol.

CSULB waitlisted me till the very end, but by then I accepted UCI, and I’m glad I did. The big release will probably come next week. So will the apocalypse though, so …

@otoribashi I’ve actually lived 20 minutes away from UCI my entire life! It honestly is a beautiful campus, not as big as UCSD obviously but big enough for a UC! It’s basically a school in a circle route. It’s surrounded by a beautiful park in the middle of campus, and then a road. Imagine a bull’s eye with a park in the middle and a road that if you keep going around in circles, you could hit every part of the campus! It’s super fresh, lots of plant life, beautiful fountains and big tall buildings. It really makes you feel kind of cool being on the campus. The surrounding area is also nice, it has a HUGE social network for students-- smack dab in the middle of Irvine culture with so many food options and shopping and fun night life. It’s perfect for a university. UCI is one of my favorite campuses, I hope you get to chance to visit it for yourself!

Thanks for the reminder! Do you mind sharing your major & GPA? @gabyitzelq1

@futureanteater97 for Irvine it’s Global Cultures (everywhere else it’s called Global Studies) and my GPA is 3.7

So will they continue giving out admissions on Monday?

@futurelawyer88 thanks for the reply! is aldrich park truly really big though? like, if i stood at one end, would i be able to see the other end of the park? and if i were in the middle of the park, would i be able to see the surrounding buildings or would i still just be able to see park/nature stuff?

and is it really close to the beach? laguna beach and that area are absolutely gorgeous and would love to know if it’s super super close!

also if anyone happens to know: is there on campus housing for transfer students? do transfers have guaranteed 2 years or something?

and if you’re not asian, are you still able to make close friends with people? (i apologize if this question sounds rude, but i used to be in a majority asian middle school and would get bullied for not being asian, and it was hard to make friends because everyone was just cliquey and stuck with other asians. the attitude there was… “you’re asian?! omg you’re like my sister hello new bestie!” and they’d become instant best friends, no matter how hard i tried to be somebody’s friend or how long i knew them beforehand… :frowning: im trying to be more open minded but i cant help be a little scared about that happening all over again.)

Realized there was a couple pre reqs I’ve yet to complete but I decided I’ll do them this summer. I sent a message to my counselor and she noted on my app that I’ll complete them this summer, anyone know how this will affect my decision?
