@californiagirl88 A bunch of TAG transfers (and honors) on this thread got accepted March 13-15. Usually TAG transfers hear back first but since non-TAG transfer applicants are already getting admission notices, I suspect something is wrong with my TAG.
I was accepted today at 4:30 AM. My major is sociology and gpa 3.4, last name starts with a Y. I was wondering if I would be able to switch into nursing at UCI. Does anybody know or can direct me to someone that I can talk to for this situation?
@UCItransfer23 are you a one year or two year transfer?
@calbee same I TAGged and still haven’t heard back
@bollege101 two year transfer. No TAG
Major: CS
GPA: 3.435
Pre-req: done
Igetc: done
This is so annoying… I just want to know!!!
I tagged and heard back sometime in March. I got in as a business economics major and regents scholar.
I was accepted for Psych & Social Behavior (3.22 GPA) but I am considering switching to Biology because I have all of the pre-requisite classes done. The reason why I did not apply as a Bio major is because I was too scared to apply and possibly get rejected for a lower GPA as Bio is much more competitive than PSB in the sense that the applicant pool is dramatically bigger; I did not want to gamble my chances of attending UCI.
Does anyone know how to go about this? Do I just meet with a counselor at UCI or something in the Bio department to request a change in major?
Thank you!!!
.
I’m a CS major too and still nothing. I’m glad I’m not alone lol. GL though to everyone!
I just called my CC counselors and e-mailed UCI rep at my CC. If you drop a class (not a major requirement & GE & does not affect your 60 units cap), you can just let the UCI counselor know through Message Center. They might tell you to update through WIP form on UC Application but the form is closed. As long as you let them know, it is okay. I called UCI Admission Office and they told me to do the same thing.
What’s ur gpa?
Can CS transfers please post their gpa
Thank you
Mine 3.37

@TransferCS Hi, I am transferring as a CS major from UC Merced. My GPA is 3.65 cumulative. I got into UCSB for CS and am still waiting on Irvine and the other UCs.
CS major
3.00
Great essays though.
@andrewjchang UCLA moved their decision date? I thought it was supposed to come out tomorrow.
Second bacc. transfer to UCI
Undergrad GPA: 2.87
Post-bac GPA (all my prereqs): 4.0
Status: Admitted (CS Major) @ 3:30AM
I dropped a class on April 17 and notified them. After a few hours, they sent me the same message. But on April 18, they told me that they updated my courses. Then, yesterday I was Admitted.
@californiannnnnnnnnnnn @hingoman25
April 26 is the date their voicemail said to be the release date.
