I wouldn’t be surprised if CS acceptance is <25% this year. It’s been decreasing every year. So insane how competitive it is.

@gabyitzelq1 ok, thanks I accepted it. And did you submit a sir for another school and then wait for uci on the same time? I am planning to submit sir for ucr, so do you know if this money is fund able if I got accepted into waitlist? Thanks

@TransferCS we understand that you are upset, but don’t take it out on us please. We (3.5+ cs) all worked very hard. I, for one, have a full-time job and school almost every night. Talk about maintaining 3.7-3.8, when you don’t even have time to do homework, and constantly have to choose between studying and sleeping. Seeing waitlist, rather than acceptance is pretty heartbreaking as it is.
Same for me. For this sem, I had a lot of mental breakdowns because I took 5 science/math classes (dropped 1 this week) I had a lot of ambitious dreams of attending UCI. I’m probably gonna get rejected even I didn’t apply into CS but into software engineering. My classes is nonstop because I have to go class then drive to another college for class then go sleep and repeat it for 4 days a week.
@gabyitzelq1 I just submitted my sir for ucr, but it said that my sir fee has need deferred? Is that because I got finical aid?
Have any other CS majors received their decisions yet? I am still waiting.
It seems like a lot of wait-listed CS students this year. I guess everyone did TAG at UCI. The results for TAG people have been posted since March 15. A lot of my friends did TAG and got in.
Waiting for the worst. Most people got either accepted or waitlisted. No one said that they got rejected or doesn’t want to.
how do u know u got rejected from ucla? they havent released anything yet have they?
