<p>holy crap I thought it was going to be the 22nd. AHHHHHHHHH so exciting and terrifying!</p>

<p>Official answer from UChicago admission office:</p>
<p>"Thank you for your message. Admissions decisions will go out late Friday afternoon, March 15th. You’ll receive an email with instructions on how to view your decision via your UChicago Account. We will also mail admitted student materials the following week. Waitlisted and Denied students will not receive notification by mail.</p>
<p>The decisions will go out at the same time – or within minutes of each other, in no particular order – for all of our applicants, so everyone will have a decision by the end of the day on Friday, March 15th."</p>

<p>Wait, what do they mean waitlisted and denied students won’t get notified by mail? Do they mean snail mail or e-mail? Can anyone shed light on this?</p>

<p>If I get in I’ll have a serious dilemma on where to go to school…
If I don’t get in I’m going to Georgetown, my number one school…</p>
<p>Holy crap and other things. Ten days?! I don’t know what to do with myself right now. I thought for sure there was going to be another week at least. </p>
<p>I will be over the moon if I get in and not too sad if I don’t. I like to think I’m pragmatic about these things, and UChicago is a lottery school at this point…</p>
<p>Edit: @CSI, I totally feel you. I applied to a ton of schools assuming the worst, and the other day I realized how freaking difficult it will be for me to choose if I get into more than one. Erp. Anyway, congrats on Gtown! That’s fabulous.</p>
<p>Wow. They said late March! I am not emotionally prepared for this, tbh. BRB hyperventilating.</p>

But really, best of luck to everyone and remember that this is one of many many many things that you will experience in your life, and try to treat it as such. A committee of prephas a dozen people in Chicago made scores of hard decisions, they are not casting a judgement with their decision.</p>

<p>Sigh. It’s just that it’s a full two WEEKS before almost all other decisions come out. Getting rejected really will not sit well with me… it’ll seem like a bad sign, and then we’ll have to wait even longer to find out from the rest. (Plus, UChicago’s pretty much my top choice, lol. So… this is about to get pretty depressing.)</p>
