Official UCI Transfer admittance Thread

Whats the issue with parking head-out? o-o I almost always park like that, whether I’m at school or not. Its so much easier to leave if you do so, especially during peak parking hours when hordes of cars swarm the lot for “parking wars”. Lol.

Sent from my HTC Evo 3D using CC

i’m drunk, and I would just like to appreciate the off-topic posts pertaining to parking tickets…and I just have to say…F*kin UCI, you’re my next pick over UCSB (which I got accepted woohoo!) SO STOP FING with us, and accept or reject me so i can move on with life…but, i will still appeal

Pending :frowning: I think the head out thing is so they can see parking permits easier. I park head out at my cc and get no trouble for it

I just got a $68 parking ticket in the UCI grad student housing parking lot…■■■. I can’t believe they have parking police working Friday nights. So lame.

68 for a parking ticket. rip off.

Do you think we’ve been rejected if we haven’t heard back yet? :(

^astef001, I’m not sure. But I would like to think it doesn’t mean bad news for us. A lot of people are still waiting for their decisions. But when a person posted that they got accepted with a 4.00 non-tag for Chemistry, I’ve been really iffy because I’m also a Chem major with a 3.52 at the time of application. We won’t have to wait long before finding out! Hang in there!

^^ I don’t think it’s a bad sign. What we have to understand is that uci only released two batches so far with one of them being only TAG applicants. I wouldn’t be surprised if uci releases their decisions a few days after ucla or uc berkeley.

Don’t worry, a lot of people got admitted towards the very end of the month last year.

i have less than a 3.5 and I applied for TAG as a chem major. They haven’t told all the tag applicants yet because i know people who tagged who still didnt hear back from uci so its still up in the air. keep your head up guys!

I agree with jumbo

I don’t think we should worry, especially us TAGgers.
I know we can’t help it until we see that “accepted” email but let’s stay optimistic and hope admissions send out another batch of notifications next week!

^^ yessssssssss

10 more years till uci releases their admits lol

lol TAG stand for 100%, if you are going to complete all their requirements then you are in for sure. what are you worrying about? lol

If you go back to the 2011 and 2010 uci transfer admittance thread, there were people with tag who fulfilled all their requirements but were either waitlisted or did not get in at all based on “competitiveness.” and one of them even had a 3.7 gpa

^then they probably didn’t fulfill all their requirements when they thought they did

But they called in on the May date when they allow applicants to go over their application with the admission counselors and they said things like “if you had applied last year you would’ve gotten in, but it was really competitive this year.” My gf’s sister was one of them, tagged for BME with a 3.46 gpa, called in and confirmed all pre-reqs were completed, but got wait listed with a thousand others.

I’m not saying that everyone last year who got rejected with tag did fulfill everything- there were people who rightly got rejected bc they missed a req here and there, but i’m just trying to say that it isnt necessarily 100% just because of tag and that it is very possible to still it with all the right classes and still not get in.

*still tag

yes it is 100%. TAG stand for Transfer Admission “”"“Guarantee”""". Except UCSD. Don’t argue against the fact lol.
