I basically applied almost every UC’s and I haven’t got any notification if I got in or not. It make me nervous with all these waits. :(

Portal changed to this message today…

Application Status

UC Santa Cruz has received your application for fall 2014! We have begun releasing admission decisions on 3/17/2014 and will continue to release decisions on a daily basis through 4/30/2014. As we continue to review the thousands of applications we have received, here is some important information for you to know.

It is important that you update any changes to your planned academic schedule at the UC Application Update web site at www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/appupdate. At that site you are also required to provide the University with your most recent fall term grades. UC Santa Cruz wants you to provide this information no later than February 15, 2014. Schedule changes and updated grades must always be reported in a timely fashion.

Much of our communication with you is through the portal and via e-mail, so it is important to keep all your contact information up-to-date. You can update any of your contact information in the Student Center section of this portal.

We encourage you to use this portal to learn more about UC Santa Cruz and all it has to offer you. Check out the “Links for You” link to see additional web sites and publications that we believe you’ll find helpful.

The Office of Admissions thanks you for your interest in attending UCSC and looks forward to reviewing your fall 2014 application.

Anyone know how to see what kind of financial aid you got?

@Maxsays They haven’t released that information yet

@sockhermom, same here.

@CollegeDropout1 Thanks, do you know when they will?

Decision: Accepted

UC GPA: 3.77
Major Pre-reqs Completed (Y/N): Yes
Intended Major: Linguistics
TAG?: No
IGETC?: Yes

Extracurriculars (clubs, leadership, volunteer, work): 3 clubs from high school, translating job experience, and experience as an unofficial translator/interpreter for family and family friends for many years
Additional Details: Also listed 3 scholarships I received as a community college student and 2 language awards I received in high school. Though not mentioned on the application, my transcript shows that I was in the Dean’s Honor List once and the President’s Honor List twice.
Applied for Financial Aid?: Yes
State (if domestic applicant): CA
Ethnicity: Asian
Gender: Female
Estimated Family Contribution(EFC)/Income Bracket: Low

Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected (strengths/weaknesses): The main thing that worried me for sure was my lack of extracurriculars after I went to community college, though I did participate in many in high school. But I think that my personal statement was my strength and helped cover that. By personal statement, I mean not the essay itself but the content–I talked about my dad’s illness last year and how I handled the situation and trying to not affect my studies.

Accepted: UCSD, UCSB, UCSC
Rejected: None
Pending: UCLA

I need to hear back from them. I hate these waves of acceptances, I’m getting anxiety!! I can not wait until the end of April. :(

@MAXsays I have no idea, I check almost everyday.

Does anyone know when/how they are releasing their decisions?

Is it every weekday? Is it at a certain time?
Is it random? Or is it by major, last name, etc…?

Did those of you who got accepted get an email first prompting you to check you UCSC portal?

Sorry for all the questions but this releasing of decisions in waves is getting the better of me
at least for the other schools I applied to I know I have to wait until mid-late April and everything will be released on the same day.
