I’m guessing it’s not about me. If it is, then grades. Definitely. Although I did show an upward trend. I don’t know how I didn’t get 4.0 in my first two years, but I should have. Instead, I had 3.5s, shooting up to 3.7-3.8 between the second semester of junior year and the first semester of senior year.
[] What would you have done differently?: Done ECs I didn’t like in order to pad my resume. I didn’t care for doing that, but it has its uses. Oh. And to get 4.0s in Fresh/Soph year. Gotten my ADHD re-diagnosed before entering high school so I could get either adderall or accommodation (I was diagnosed in 2nd grade), both of which my parents are strictly against, esp the drugs, which is just basically speed. I couldn’t even TELL uchicago due to not receiving accommodation for ADHD, so they didn’t know about it. I didn’t want to seem desperate, but it takes about twice the amount of effort as normal kids to get the grades I did.[/ul]

I’m surprised they even took my app seriously when people on the top 10 in my class are wondering if they can get into SUNY’s.
