someone should call… i feel like the admissions lady knows me by my voice i call so much… she never sounds happy when i call…

What do you say when you call so often? Just “what’s the status”?

ehh i like to make stuff up to keep it fresh. sometimes i ask the status, sometimes i say i have to respond to another schools offer, sometimes i just talk about my day… one time i read a poem i wrote.

To the secretary at the admissions desk? That’s… obnoxious! The poor woman has a job to do!

hahaha. i dont call that often, and i usually just ask if theres anyway to check the status of my app. and then when she says no (like she does everytime) then i ask when decisions are expected and she says early to late may (like she does everytime)…

then i read my poem.

“Early to late may”? What an unnecessary expenditure of words and reasoning…

hahahhahahahah, brahnema thats too funny.
Yea, i have only called 3 times and each time was in order to make sure a fax went through or a package was received. I find that when i am extremely nice to the secretary, she is in turn, very nice to me.

it’s going to be Friday

book it!

anxtrans, did admissions tell you this?

I called yesterday to see if they have all my material and they told me my SAT scores were missing. I sent it almost 2 months back and I had to fax in my unofficial score. My application credential says they have all my documents on file. I would recommend you guys follow up on your application coz it doesnt seem like they cared enough to let me know I am missing anything. Any of u guys go for the alumni interveiw?

yeah i had an interview… it was mediocre. 2 hours long and pretty intense haha. probably wont help me much, but i dont think itll hurt either… anyone else have an interview?

quar009, are you serious? I never called Chicago to confirm that my credentials have been received because it said online that I wasn’t missing any materials. Did anyone else call to check that they got everything?

lol…mine was unusual…my interview was at the person’s home where i almost got slobbered by a dog…but he was surprised to learn that I am a transfer student…when i asked him why he is still so heavily affiliated with the school he said that he is doing it so that his kid’s can get in too…I was surprised with the answer but his honesty was refreshing…also the interview is obviously evaluative and a recommendation can help

well 20sticks thats what happened to me and that was yesterday…i was freaking out coz I thought they would have gone thru my application by now…call and confirm…I plan to call again to make sure they got my fax

Quar009: When the credential check was up, did yours report as complete on the website?!

Yeah, mine said it was complete (back when the link was still up). So I never worried about it. But now it looks like I’m going to have to call and ask just to be safe.

My interview went pretty well. The interviewer called me a “real Chicago man” and decided to map out my life course for me. Nice guy…

And good job guys, now I’m terrified my credentials aren’t actually in; guess I’ll be calling tomorrow.

girigiri my credential initially said missing secondary transcript and Sat scores…and then it was updated and it said everything had been received… I didn’t plan to start a panic here… but when I called to ask about when the decisions will be available the person who picked up said “early May” and that everyone has to send in the credit evaluation and that I am missing my SAT scores and they cannot proceed without it…
PersonGuy34 snds like a good interview…I can’t complain about mine…i wasn’t rly prepared and so I am not expecting much of a recommendation…lol

Did anybody have an on-campus interview? I had one – they are considerably less than two hears, and I suspect somewhat more inquisitorial.

“Back when the link was still up” … so the link is now available in the Chicago Application website. Why is it gone?

I remember seeing it three or four weeks ago, but it’s not there any more. In some of the other schools I applied, they still have their online application tracking system for applicants so that we can check the status of our applications.
