All these in-state applicants are hearing back so early. Such statists.

Yes, my daughters bf just received email. Waiting for him to come back from wrestling to open it, but they are still arriving. Good luck.

yes please… someone phone about internationals…
but why did some OOS hear then tho?

aikshdghkadslhgklwhekldhgkahdkglshdklah ;

hate being an OOS

oh well… time to start hoping that UVA will favor me

they said they were a few isolated people oos that hear back here and there, but for the most part they didnt want to crash their server so they’re splitting it into two, instate today and oos tomorrow starting in the early afternoon

Has anyone who got their apps in early but regular decision heard anything?

I somehow have a hard time believing the admissions office people, because they also said not to worry about admissions decisions until about next week.

Decision: Deferred

[/ul]**General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc: I never really thought about being deferred, but I always thought about getting accepted or rejected - it was very borderline for me, especially since I have such a low math ACT for engineering. On the other hand, I thought my exchange program, sports, michigan residenct and essays would gain acceptance. Overall, I think I deserve a deferral. I probably would have gotten in for LSA, but for engineering, I was very doubtful. Thus, a deferral isn’t that bad at all. Good luck!

I’m instate and I still have not received my decision yet! It’s killing me!!!

“i called admissions and they said most likely oos people will be hearing tomorrow starting early-afternoon”

The very first person to post today was (a deferral) from NC…

^ yes bd, we were told that they will be doing rolling decisions starting in january through april. my daughter applied in october. We thought she could not do EA because she was doing ED at Northwestern. Turns out we could have, darn. There are some kids who put there app in before the Nov 1 deadline who got switched over to EA even though they checked regular thoough. That happened to her boyfriend. I called Admissions and they told me that some kids, for whatever reason, were moved to EA. She was not :(

I guess us OOS have to wait one more day!

^jmd1207, Are you in-state?

The very first decision I read today was someone from NC, so I’m not sure if in-staters are receiving the emails first or not…

Accepted into Engineering! In state by the way. Apparently they sent me the email at 1 30 but it didn’t show up until maybe thirty minutes ago…

Does anyone know when applicants for Spring 2011 will hear anything?

Yeah, in state. I found out around 3:45…

I’m instate and I still haven’t heard :(

It seems like it’s quite a bit tougher OOS. Hopefully being from Oklahoma where there is a very small amount of Michigan applicants will help my cause.

Deferred.

But it’s okay :] accepted ED to WashU and couldn’t be happier. Though Michigan is making it really hard for me to rescind my application by not answering my calls/not letting me figure out which e-mail is appropriate to use. Does anyone know the protocol?
