i applied EA and I’m just wondering if anyone knows how we will hear a decision. Are they mailed? or online on the New and perspective student center? or an email?

University of Michigan is releasing its decisions on the 17th. I think you will be able to check online on the 17th and then later a letter will come with the decision.

i was accepted into the art and design school about a week ago as a dual applicant…i think the non LSA colleges send them out earlier

ughhh 2 weeks, hopefully i dont die before then

There is no reason to believe that UM is releasing it’s admissions decisions before Dec 23rd.

Yeah Mathematics1234–where did you even pull the 17th from? From what I gather, the 23rd seems most likely.

i don’t understand why everyone thinks there has to be one day. their website said they will begin releasing decisions in december. this seems to me to mean that some people may get their decisions back before others, even within the pool of EA applicants.

Nobody knows… This year is UM’s first year using the Common App.
I hope decisions come out soon though… I hate not knowing a SPECIFIC date; the decision could pop up at any second. :/

this god damn uncertainty is killing me. i even log into wolverine access to check even though everyone says they are coming out the 23rd. question: does michigan require the midyear and final report of the common app to be submitted after acceptance?

btw: i got to run out of the tunnel at michigan stadium last night! it was so sick. my high school had a hockey game on the rink they are using for the big chill. no big deal haha

apparently someone’s guidance counselor got notified that december 17th was the date… who knows… I am still waiting for my ED decision which I hope will come out on thursday!!!

What are you guys doing to keep your mind off of this decision because im so anxious im making myself physically sick…

… just chill dude; worst case you go to some easier uni and watch hulu all day. ^^ bella, heard same thing.

lets all talk about things we’d do if we don’t get in, to lighten the mood ;)

Me: hello extremely easy second semester senior year.

^^probably going to michigan tech so i can get the same degree while pursuing wildlife and landscape photography. where in northern michigan are you at?

about an hour north of Saginaw. I’m still deciding between MSU and UofMinn as my second choice.

What’s your first choice?

oh, I thought you meant the U.P. I actually have a cottage at Hubbard Lake, near Alpena. Yeah, have you checked out the honors college at MSU? Not sure what your stats are, but most uofm applicants would qualify - I did, just barely. It’s actually quite impressive. But, I’ve always loved the outdoors and I think it would just be awesome to go backpacking and kayaking on the weekends whilst getting a somewhat reputable degree at a smaller school with Tech. I don’t know, sometimes I wish michigan didn’t have that many decent options with MTU, MSU, and UM. Anyways, good luck.

I actually just missed the cut with a 29, although I read somewhere you can apply later in the year by writing an essay/recommendation; I might do that. At this point I’d say State is my #1 safety. Michigan really does have a lot of good schools. I took a little excursion a while back exploring LSSU, NMU, and MTU and came to the conclusion I need to be in an urban atmosphere haha. good school(s), just not for me. Thanks and good luck to you too!

@almsotpo: Umich of course! :)

Oh, I misread UofMinn as UofMich!
What do you plan on majoring in?

If no UMICH, I’ll probably go to Hillsdale, MSU, or Ferris (full ride)—in that order.

And, I might even consider dropping a couple APs. ;)
