Yeah the Common App for this year opens on 8/1. Anything you worked on for the previous year’s app will be deleted.

Does anyone know how impressive a LOR from a Wharton professor would be? I know this one kid that has it and I’m kind of worried he might beat me out because of it.

UPENN c/o 2019 applicant facebook Page is up! <a href=“UPENN Class of 2020 Applicants Page | Facebook”>https://www.facebook.com/groups/1514243782125566/

^^It’s about quality, not content (so long as the person writing it isn’t your relative or something like that haha).

Hi guys. What is a good SAT score to get into upenn. Also is it easy to change into wharton from seas after a year?

^It’s really hard to transfer (especially from SEAS). I would highly recommend applying to Wharton right off the bat if you’re interested.

Hello, i am an international student, i have quite low SAT scores so i feel that i have no chance, but i will stay apply in case a miracle occures!

@Rolay19 which school under penn are you applying to?

I am interested in the m&t program but i am sure i won’t be accepted, so i’m applying to the SEAS!

@Rolay19 it wouldn’t hurt to apply to both SEAS and M&T at the same time. Even if you’re rejected from m&t, you can still get into SEAS. So don’t rule out M&T completely

@Encord I guess i’ll do this then!
To which school are you applying ?

@Rolay19 Wharton lol.
Definitely a try-your-luck kind of thing…but it’s worth a short I guess

@Encord it’s worth the try!!

Does anyone know if we have more chances to receive FA as an international student in ED or RD ?

@Rolay19 The amount of financial aid you receive is the same during ED and RD round. However, UPenn is only need-blind for Canada, USA, and Mexico. If you are from elsewhere and request FA, then your chances of admission may be lower.

@HvePassion My family income is really low so i’m obliged to request FA i know it’s a disadvantage, but i can still try!

^ Note that Penn is need-blind for both citizens and permanent residents of the US, Canada, and Mexico. Not that it necessarily applies to you, but I just wanted to clarify that in case it does.

@"45 Percenter" It does unfortunately not apply to me!

Another question, can we apply ED to UPenn and EA to another school ?

Yes, but only if that school has non-restrictive EA. UChicago is a good example!

Another one is Caltech

Thank you, is one of you applying to one of these two ?
