Hi, Perhaps this will help everyone to relax a bit. My daughter is applying to Penn. She’s been reading this thread from time to time and so heard about this “Employment Information Form” [EIF] mystery and asked me about it (since I had to help her file the tax forms, etc. for the financial aid application). I looked it up just now since I was not familiar with it and here is what I learned.

According to Penn’s own Financial Aid website, it appears that the EIF is required only in very specific circumstances, namely when a parent is unemployed or has experienced a sudden loss of income. According to the form itself, “This worksheet… is designed for families who expect a… significant reduction in income from 2014 and or part of 2015 due to unemployment, changes in employment, illness, retirement, or sabbaticals.” So if your family is not in that situation, you would not need to file the Employment Information Form.

I hope this info clarifies things a bit. This is a stressful time and I wouldn’t want any of you to worry unnecessarily. Try to get some sleep. And remember, all of you are fabulous.

LOL I am literally alternating between writing an essay and going into states of panic about the decision tomorrow. Anyone else pulling an all-nighter?

@szh1103 me too. I just know my GPA is too low for them to like, at least for ED. I wish I was able to prepare myself for rejection/deferral these past few days. It’s going to hit me so hard.

I’ve been able to successfully convinced self that I will be able to be deferred…it was very painful and difficult. However, actually seeing and reading the actual letter tomorrow will still be bad…and devastating. Reality will hit so hard.

Is there any way for them to know that I didn’t send all of my test scores? I sent two SAT 1s and two SAT 2s but didn’t send anything else because I didn’t know I had to until it was too late. I (stupidly) took an ACT a few months after my second SAT even though I didn’t need to because my mom thought that it “couldn’t hurt”. I didn’t prepare for it and while I did decent (31) it wasn’t anywhere near my SAT score.
