Junior Schedule:
Honors English 11
AP French
AP Chemistry
AP Computer Science
AP Statistics
AP US History
AP Literature
Multivariable Calc @ Columbia
Accelerated Physics (unsure yet) @ Columbia

^ i wish i lived near Columbia :(

how many of you guys have already taken the SAT? I was considering it but i decided not to. however i did take the ACT in ninth grade.

I live about an hour’s train ride away, but I do research there also, so I go pretty much every day.

I took the SAT in eighth grade for CTY if that means anything. I thought about taking it this year, but then I though I’d be more prepared next year

^ oh thats cool.

Yeah, that was the reason i didn’t take it this year either. I didnt feel prepared enough. Plus i wanted to make sure i did well on my aps this year so… yeah.

I took it this year and made an 1870… so so I guess.

sub 5 (male) is harder than sub 6 (female), especially given the fact that most males try to go under 5 as underclassmen/middle schoolers when they’re bodies aren’t as developed.

@ sonofschool64: …not to be rude…but how do you expect to handle 7 AP classes when you can only manage a 390 CR score? I would rethink that schedule if I were you.

tsubomi1993, if legit, beats databox imo.

especially given the fact that one of them is english. he’s a ■■■■■, i’ll bet.

^^ I’m sure he’s capable of handling 7 APs. All he needs to do is to study harder for his SATs/do more reading.

I disagree… one thing I’m looking at is I mentally convert APs to equivalent college courses, so you may be taking 8 APs but only 4 college courses.

I think there’s an upper limit to studying… it seems like his or her first language is not English, so he or she may really struggle.

^that still doesn’t account for the english.

Cancel out the common courses and you’re left with:

DataBox:
AP English Language
AP Environmental Science
Spanish VIII (H)
Differential Equations

tsubomi1993:
Honors English 11
AP French
AP Comp Sci
AP Literature

It’s close.

Then, if it’s not his/her first language, then I’d advise you to not take AP English. I’m sure even the native speakers would have a difficult time, especially with the writing portion of the class.

I’d venture to further reduce it to this:

DataBox:
AP Environmental Science
Differential Equations

tsubomi1993:
Honors English 11
AP Comp Sci

If I transform my schedule to APs I’m taking (more or less):

AP Calculus BC (retake)
AP Chemistry
AP Environmental Science
AP English Language
AP English Literature
AP Government and Politics
AP Macroeconomics
AP Microeconomics
Civics and Economics Honors
English II Honors
PHI 240: Introduction to Ethics

WOOT WOOT '11 BABYYY

Yes, 5 APs :(

English is not my native language, and I was thinking about getting into AP English Lang. next year… what do you guys think?
My schedule will look like this:

-AP Biology
-AP Art 2-D
-AP US History
-AP Psychology
-AP Spanish Language (self-studying)
-English 11 Honors
OR AP English Language
-Algebra II Honors

Is anyone going to take an SAT Subject test? I was thinking about taking the SAT French, SAT Spanish, SAT Biology and SAT US History…but maybe I’ll just wait til senior year.

…I’m already freaking out about all my AP’s plus the PSAT, SAT…
:(

What APs did you all do sophomore year? Tsubomi1993 = AP Calculus BC, AP Physics C, AP Physics B, AP Biology, AP Psychology

@ ladymadrid: I’m taking SAT Subject Tests Physics, Korean, and Math II

You may find AP German slightly more difficult, so why not add that too?

AP Calculus BC, AP Physics B, AP Spanish Language

I took APAH Freshman year, but I guess that doesn’t count.
