Official Unofficial Class of '11 Thread

So, my fellow rising juniors... what's good?

Schedules for next year?
Colleges you're looking at (maybe?)?
Life obstacles or woes?

Idk, let's conversate.

class of eleven bby!

Class of '11, chyeahhh.

5 APs planned. Unfortunately, I’ll actually have to exert more than minimal effort next year.

Schedule:

Ap English Language
Ap US History
Pre-Cal
Spanish 5-6
Varsity Golf
Digital Arts

I am looking at Stanford University; I checked out their website and I love what that school offer. They have my major, diverse interesting kids, and plus, my gradma lives 10 minutes away from it. Still need to do more research though.

Obstacles: Balancing school work with my social life; were only teenagers once!!

Ditto to this…except until now I had less than minimal effort. Infact, I think mine’s in the negative zones.

AP Bio
AP US Hist
AP Eng Lit
Pre-Calc
Spanish 4
Theology
Chinese 3

I really love Vassar

Schedule looks like:

APUSH
AP Bio
AP Calc (hoping I understand the summer precalc I’m taking)
Latin II/III
Band
Rel. Seminary

and not sure which one yet,
Foods And Nutrition
Creative Writing
Phychology

I think my schedule will be:

AP Chem
AP USH
AP Language & Composition
Honors Pre-Calc
Honors Physics
Research
Photography or maybe Spanish IV or lunch.

I only colleges I’m interested is are Columbia and NYU. My friend is going to Columbia and my cousin went to NYU a few years back so I’ll hopefully get more information about the two universities later. I am only interested at colleges in NYC as of right now

As for obstacles, the only thing that I worried about it is doing all the work and still able to hang out with my friends since: a) during the summer I’m gonna be dorming at SBU during the week for a program and will have to balance the work there and the three AP summer assignments -_- and b)during the school year I like going out on Fridays and Saturdays.

I’m sooo excited to be an upperclassman, but at the same time I’m pretty scared about how I’ll survive next year. >.< I’m especially anxious because junior year is that one most important year!

My schedule looks like this:

AP Chem
AP Physics
AP Calc
APUSH
English III Honors
Accelerated French III (basically AP French Lang.)

Plus I’m doing Acadec and will be the president of one club and an officer of another. Oh, and I’m self-studying AP Psych and Human Geography. ■■■!

Yay, ONE ONE!

I can’t believe how tough some of your junior year schedules are. I mean I AM taking 4 APs next year, but all of your APs are the really difficult ones. I am really scared for next year because I will have such a rigorous courseload compared to this year, plus grades in junior year matter more. I don’t know where I want to go to college yet…

Oh, and a really weird thought (to me at least): We’re officially graduating from high school in approximately 2 years. Crazy, right?

musicallylatin, I’m taking summer Pre-Calc also!

sqdwfe13, actually, I always tell the sophomores I know, “Hey… we’re going to be seniors next year!” And then they’re like… what?? But technically, next year, 2010, will contain the first semester of our senior year… pretty trippy, huh? Oh, and I’m scared for the (technically) 5 APs and 1 extremely difficult honors that I’m taking next year… I’ve never taken an AP class. o.o ■■■ once again.

You have no idea how worried I am about junior year.

ROTC

ROTC

Spanish 1

Spanish 2

Health 2

Trig

APUSH

AP Psych

Plus volunteer work, SAT, and I can’t forget to sleep!!

I’m looking at Columbia and NYU. The school(s) of my dream(s).

I am so scared for Junior year, especially the AP tests…I’m going to be so stressed. Not looking forward to the SAT, either. I don’t want to be a Junior!

Have no idea what college I want to go to yet…but somewhere that offers phenomenal finaid is a requirement, definitely.

lol fine I’ll post my n00b schedule, or whatever it is:

-English
-Calc BC
-U.S. History
-Chemistry
-Physics
-French III

Oh, they’re all AP’s except French, if that makes any difference.

and as for colleges I’m looking at HYPS for financial aid…haven’t researched or anything like that enough to find other good financial aid programs (that stuff comes later on).

The Schedule:

AP US History
AP Chemistry
AP Environmental Science
AP Statistics
Spanish VIII (H)
Multivariable Calculus

Post AP-level Physics (if it fits)
i *

The Schools:
No idea, whichever accepts me?

The Obstacles:
Next Monday…4 AP exams…cries (I don’t even think it’s legal to take 4 APs on one day?)

Databox: Bio + all 3 Physics (or is that possible)?

LOL. gl…

Umm they shouldn’t be letting you take 4 exams in a day. Is that even possible? Each exam is 4 hrs, so that would = 16hrs of testing…umm…not possible unless you have a Time-turner.

^ lolwut? Exams are not 4 hours each…are they? Um, anyway. . .

Mi <<schedule>> es:
AP Physics
AP U.S. History
AP English Language
AP Calculus
AP Chemistry
Spanish III [really III/IV, considering I’m taking AP Lang senior year]
Newspaper</schedule>

with zee AP U.S. Government y AP Psychology self-studied. It’s really unfortunate that I couldn’t fit chorus into my schedule this year. :[ Biggest obstacles are laziness, distraction, procrastination, disinterest. . .

Me gustan HYP, Columbia, Brown, y muchos LACs.

Okay, I seriously to go to bed [then get up at like 4 to attempt some homework], I’m thinking en some weird form of Spanglish…

Oh my, Invoyable, we practically have the same schedule!
