Official Unofficial Class of '11 Thread

If all goes well:
Honors Pre-Calculus
AP Art History
AP Spanish
AP Chemistry
AP US History
AP English Lang

but, you know how counselors are with scheduling, ill probably end up with Spanish 7/8 Honors instead of AP, AP Biology instead of Chem, and Digital Arts instead of Art History…
(sigh) next year is really going to test me, and my poor time management skills

Im looking into upper-tier schools, you know HYPS and the UC’s (UCB, UCLA), but thats if all goes well and i dont change my mind…only time will tell

AP English Language
AP Calc BC
AP US History
AP Macroeconomics
AP French Language
AP Chemistry
Honors Physics

6 AP’s. Oh joy. I may also be self-studying Microeconomics.

AP US
English 11
AP Environmental Science
Physics
German IV (taking AP at end of year)
AP Calc AB
Art

I’ve wanted to go to UVA forever, but I’ll probably apply to UNC, Georgetown, and a couple of IVYs as well.

You guys sound like geniuses.
At my school, our classes are planned out for us. Everyone has the same classes, but they are all early college courses which means that if we get a B or an A we get college credit, B- or below is just regular high school credit. Still, I have no idea what classes I will be taking except for PreCal.

What is everyone’s GPA? Mine is an embarrassing 3.3

Woot-woot! Class of 2011!
Schedule for next year is:
AP Chem (2 period class - one lab, one lecture)
AP English
AP US
Honors Spanish IV (Exact same class as AP Spanish V)
ASB or Cross Country PE (If I don’t get on council again)

I’m probably gonna diee. I’m doing ASB (hopefully) again next year which is a HUGE time commitment, along with a sport (cross country and track), and I’m also planning on being a lead lawyer for Mock Trial again. Oyyy.

haha I guess I was wrong about the actual time of the ap exams, just at my school each exam either runs from 8-12 or 12-4.

So scared for next year. >.< I like don’t even want sophomore year to end. But this is my schedule:

IB History I (HL)
IB Math I (HL)
IB Biology I (HL)
IB English I (SL)
IB Spanish IV (SL)
IB Enviornmental Systems (SL)
SALC (Student Activities Leadership Council)

…yeah. Im officially terrified. Especially for IB Math HL…seeing all the threads about how hard the IB exam was makes me want to reconsider taking the class…but anyways, I REALLY want to go to UPENN. Or UVA. (: I don’t think UVA will be a problem though…

Okay seriously, if every '11er out there is taking 5-6 APs, there’s no way I’ll survive against competition like all of you in college admissions. Reading this thread makes me feel horrible. =[ How do you do it?! Are you sacrificing extracurricular activities to take so many APs?

^ Well for IB you have to take the classes to get the diploma…I don’t sacrifice my extra curriculars, I definitely make time for them. Its all about managing your time and knowing when you have too much homework!

I don’t think taking 4 is shoddy in the least. So what? As long as the other classes you’re taking aren’t really easy, I don’t think it’s going to make or break you in college admissions.

college admissions in 2 years will be frightening.

Schedule

wow, 9 classes in a day? how long is your school day?

AP Physics

I might be self-studying or taking a course online in AP Psychology as well.

College List:

 1. Penn
 2. Georgetown, Northwestern, NYU, Columbia, William & Mary
 3. SUNY Binghamton, SUNY Buffalo

I say we make a group.

Right now, I’m looking into lots of LACs (which is where I think I would be happiest), UC’s for safeties, and I will probably apply to HYPS solely for financial aid purposes.

'11 all the wayy…
schedule:
APUSH
AP bio (double pd)
AP Lang & Lit
precalc
french 3
physics (double pd)

and i’ll prob self-study psych…whilst playing 2 varsity sports, doing science research, and five billion other positions…no point though since ill end up going to the local unii, not even a suny

Oh, I forgot…Honors English combined with online AP English Lang. (I’m taking actual in-school English in case I bomb out of the online course.) Oh, and I might take Anatomy. I’m not too sure yet. The AP Bio class here doesn’t cover anatomy, since our teacher is convinced you cannot study the entire curriculum in one year, so he drops anatomy out of the curriculum.

Oh, and for EC’s I have AcaDeca, Band w/ private lessons. Bussiness Professionals of America, Church (trust me…it counts with all the hours), and various others I can’t remember since I’m tired.
