I realllllllllllllllly want to go to William and Mary. Second choice of UVa.

Worried about my AP Bio exam coming up Monday…

this (10 char)

Lol, have you seen DataBox’s schedule? That’s like the definition of insanity.

Haha nice. Yeah next year will be intense, but not as bad as this year. Multivariable Calc is apparently the easiest course ever lol.

Nice. How was USAMO this year? Apparently someone from my school is making Blue MOP lol. And I thought you said you didn’t do science research since science isn’t your thing…how do expect do RSI and make Siemens finals…unless you’re doing math research? If so, good luck with that.

My Goals:
Make USABO Finals, USAPhO Semis, USACO Gold, make USAMO, go to ISEF, Siemens Regional Finalst, RSI, go to SciOly Nationals again, SciBowl Nationals, straight A’s, 2350+ on SAT, 750+ in SAT II’s, volunteer at a local nature preserve, and perhaps get published in Nature this summer if all goes well :D

Wow typing all that up makes me feel like freak lol.

haha, my only goals are to maintain 4.0 UW GPA, get NMF in PSAT, not go crazy from the stress, NOT make varsity for soccer, get enough sleep, and basically maintain a normal existence without freaking out about college.
oh and a paying job/internship would be a bonus.

USAMO was decent this year, I’d probably make Red MOP, too bad I’m a soph now =(
Nice…is it Wu or Qu?
My research won’t pertain to a pure science or math, it will be more relevant to applied science and theory. Although I’d really love to focus on psychology and economics research, so I might end up skipping Siemens altogether since all of their categories pertain to science.

I realized that science and math are too hard, which is why I’m only taking/have taken: Apps of Science honors, Engineering Honors, Chemistry Honors, General Chemistry I, General Chemistry II, Physics honors, AP Physics B, Descriptive Astronomy, Descriptive astronomy lab, Earth/environmental science Honors, AP Calculus BC, Calculus II or III, and differential equations. I’m just out of my little mind.

I’m planning on majoring in philosophy and public policy, with a minor in philosophy, politics and economics. UNC would be free for me, and while you fools are still going to Harvard or Stanford undergrad, I’m going to be working on my 2nd masters or doctorate.

imho, it would be foolish to state that, as none of us are getting in Harvard or Stanford for undergrad…it’s great that you have your life planned out, but I doubt that the benefits of second masters would outweigh the detriments associated with going through high school and undergrad 1.5 times as fast as a normal person , while getting multiple majors and minors…

cough

I guess I’m just kind of happy because I get to have a bit more certainty than many of you guys. I have a school I like and a good chance of getting in. I’m planning to stay 4 years in high school, and three years in undergrad, during which time I plan to earn a masters degree too. So during my 4th year I’m either in a doctorate program or a 2nd master’s degree program or what have you. So what’s that? High school and college 1.14 times faster? Just concurrently with grad school. :)

Besides, when you’re at Stanford, what else am I going to have to boast about?

Haha, you’re quite the flatterer  I think you should reword that to say “when you’re at a state school”
Regardless, it’s great that you have it all planned out, most of us don’t even know what we’re majoring in!

Haha word.

And on a realistic scale, although it’s not certain until the completion of junior year, if Databox continues this up we all know he’s in at every school he applies too (Aka Stanford).

Um, we aren’t? ;)

^yeah, if you think about it, a lot of CCers get in…and we’re CCers! Bodes well, doesn’t it?

If you think you are as a sophomore and haven’t won some sort of international olympiad or a comparable athletic/musical event, you probably aren’t…remember complacency gets one no where…

the vast majority of those people join CC as seniors, if you compiled some data, you should see CC users who are active on CC before senior year have a much smaller acceptance rate at HYPSM, since those that didn’t were probably using that extra time being awesome ;)

I know which site to go to if i want to lower my self confidence. CC will always be there for me.

Some of these schedules are ridiculously impressive. I’m one of the smartest people in my grade, definitely top 5%. It seems like everyone on here will be their school’s valedictorian.

…or will succumb to the pressure, burn out, and end up having a ridiculously low UW GPA (in their perspectives)

yes, what would i ever do if my 4.0 turned into a 3.9???
:0

I can feel myself “burning out” right now, and it’s quite scary. My grades are slipping :frowning: What will I do junior year if I keep getting progressively stupider?

^I would encourage a lighter junior year load…you really don’t want to burn out before you get into college!

By the time I can’t take it anymore, it’s usually April or May. I play 3 sports year round so that’s when I just become mentally and physically drained. But luckily, the summer is always right around the corner. I hope I never lose interest in school early in the school year. I know I’ll have senioritis in a couple of years though.
