Official USC Class of 2015 Bacc/MD Hopefuls

No mail on Sundays guys! Thanks for your post adriennevaughan. And wow MyAlex, your son has amazing stats! Thank you for the comprehensive details and best of luck.

For the program requirements: we need at least 9 on each section (total of 27 minimum) and a 3.3 GPA. I would say that is rather lenient.

I WAS ALSO ACCEPTED TO THE BACC/MD PROGRAM A FEW DAYS AGO!!! I guess I’m #8 :)

Currently we have:

Athene
dorktastic
respectxsoccer
Frank251
chelsealynn
gchadrox
adriennevaughan
UnexpectedPath

and btw…aren’t the requirements 3.0 GPA and 30 MCAT and not 3.3 GPA and 27 MCAT??

Haha I’m #9 :D

I got the normal-sized envelope a week ago, and I was surprised how simple yet satisfying it was to read such a plain letter, a letter that actually implied so many essays and hard work. I had to miss school to come to the interview to ultimately get a dinky letter that represents much sweat and many tears.

It’s hard to decide. Do I pick Bacc/MD, Stanford, or Harvard? Can’t go wrong either way! The three all gave out great financial aid packages this year.

Good luck to the rest of y’all.

rejected :frowning:
gotta take the good with the bad though! now next year i’ll either be at BU’s 7 year or GWU’s 7 year…
good luck everyone! I’m sure you’re all super talented and gonna do AMAZING in the Bacc/MD program!

Hello everyone!! This thread was such a help to me when i was waiting for my letter to come! I was accepted a few days ago and only thought it fitting to sign up and thank you guys (future classmates!!) myself. I also received the Presidential Scholarship! See you all in august!

Congrats to those who got in and best of luck to those still contemplating where they’ll end up! Remember - Everything happens for a reason. (topher14, im sure you’ll kick butt wherever you end up) :D

Fight On!!

accepted! I am so excited!!

topher… BU is an incredible school and that sounds like an amazing opportunity! Boston is a lovely city. and 7 years?!? That’s sweet!

I also know two others who were accepted! So now i think the list totals out to 12!!

oops! make that 13!! :D

We received the news at 4:45 on Monday. REJECTED.

Thank you to all the posters who have supplied information and support through the process.

The practice of medicine is truly a privilege and honor. Fight On!

I hope there will be more!

hmmm just a couple quick questions.

1) I heard for USC bacc/med if you apply for other medical schools after undergraduate you still reserve your spot at Keck Medicine. Can anyone confirm this?

2) Also does anyone by chance know the stats for what med schools USC bacc/meds actually end up going to/getting into?

mustbesuccessful, yes! Keck reserves the spot.

Hmm, I would ask the veterans about this one. Ask in the FB group page, but I hear that the ones really put the time and effort goes to Harvad, UCLA, Yale, Stanford, UCSF, John Hopkins among many others.

I was jw, do colleges, like USC, pay for your flights if you have an interview?

Hi letsgoeat,

They reimburse you (a percentage I am not sure), but I just drove there, so not entirely sure.
