Official Vanderbilt 2015 Fall Transfer Thread

The struggles.

Hi. I’m on the waitlist too and I am wondering if I should send them my spring grades. I just finished my freshman year with 3.87 in the fall and 3.67 in the spring = 3.77 overall. Do you guys think it’s worth it even though my second semester GPA is much lower?

Yes, because they will have more to judge you on. They’d probably rather see you still performing well the second semester.

Anyone hear something back from VU???

nope

I called and this week is the last week that they’re making decisions off the waitlist.

I also transferred to Vandy back in 2011. I am a BME student so if any one has questions that I can probably answer let me know.

Has anybody heard anything yet? This whole last week thing is making me nervous…

Nothing :frowning:

@orangebanana you sure this week was supposed to be last? We should’ve heard back by now

@undecided988 we likely won’t hear from them

@undecided988
I called them twice and asked about when they’re closing the waitlist. If you don’t believe me, feel free to call admissions.

I did call and they said nothing about last week being the final week before they close decisions. Specifically they said it changes from year to year and it can and will end whenever. They also said that we would find out either if we got in or if there wasn’t room for us

Okay then I’m wrong. No biggie.

Waitlist closed. Just checked myappvu

Maybe next year :slight_smile:

Hi everyone, I am wondering if anyone could provide some helpful info right now. I’m a sophomore planning to transfer next year (Fall 2016), and since I have a though semester ahead of me I wanted to ask, how time consuming is the transfer admission process? And I don’t just mean for Vandy but in general. I plan to apply to 10 schools (we’ll see about that), but I recognize that I will be extremely busy so I don’t know if I should prioritize which are gonna be my top schools, shorten my list, or if I do indeed will have the time to apply to all 10 schools and manage to excel at all my other responsibilities at the same time. Any help is much appreciated!
