Official Washington and Lee ED I 2014 Thread!

take it in stride soccer

NJSoccer, From your user name seems that you are playing soccer as my son. Did you get a tip from coach for admission? It might help?

Sorry to hear that and it was their loss.

eric, did your letter come?

the coach said he couldnt really help because he already had enough players in my position

NJ, That is strange. Position could be changed. I think you played different positions all the time for different coaches. He contacted my son but disappeared after we submitted DVD.

well I’m a goalkeeper and he said he would only keep 4 on the team, which is the number they now have. Did your son get in?

I see.

Not yet, he applied RD so we will see on 4/01. Maybe that was the reason the coach didn’t contact him anymore. Do you think is there a spot for him after 04/01? I wonder?

Good luck for your.

Has anyone NOT received ED letters as of now? Thanks!

Congratulations to all the accepted ED applicants! April 1st seems like such a long way off, but the rest of us RD folks will just have to stick it out.

aswagga, I saw in one of your posts that you’re from Alabama as well. It’s exciting to see a fellow Alabamian that knows about W&L, i’m the only student from my high school applying!

The USPS has not reached the Rocky Mountains as of today’s delivery.

yeah, denied. very ****ed, guess i’ll just have to go to Tulane, or UNC hopefully

congrats, aswagga!

thanks! have you gotten in anywhere? I think you said you were a RD applicant to W&L, right? Did you apply early anywhere?

i got in early to yale, but W&L is still on my list because of the johnson. i still don’t have my financial aid package from yale, so i don’t know about aid yet, and debt is something i really need to think about.

IF i’m a finalist for the johnson, i’ll be flying out to the east coast three times in two months! that’s mind-boggling! (once for bulldog days, once for a vacation to manhattan, and once for the johnson)

thats awesome, gotta love the east coast right? hahah and congrats on yale!! thats really fantastic. and good luck with the johnson (and with yale financial aid, too)

thanks! and congrats on W&L. i’m hoping it all works out financially.

December 26–the envelope postmarked Dec 17th finally arrived in the Rockies! Wow- can’t wait for the gov to get hold of healthcare!

^okay? congratulations? not sure i follow you.

Sorry-this was a follow-up to whether anyone was still waiting for the ED1 letter–a few days back. Other mail from the same geographic area mailed on Dec 21st arrived here the 24th–so it is a great mystery as to what journey the letter took. As to the news–yes, very happy, but know that for every person who is celebrating there is someone who is disappointed.
