Nigeria could potentially pull off the impossible w/ a Greek goal.

^^^^^^^

In the article, it said they were purged. My suspicions were right.

brb rooting 4 greece

You’re an idiot if you think North Korea is just going to get rid of one of the best teams they’ve ever had. They still have a great performance against Brazil to be proud of.

You never know, Kim Jong Il is a weird man.

I would guess they will likely be exported to live/train in China. Just my guess.

Nigeria really blew their opportunity. When you have 2 open nets and don’t score either of them, you don’t deserve to move on.

It was an intriguing game though.

The Nigeria game was disappointing. They had a couple good chances to win the game, but they didn’t capitalize on them.

Yay South Korea! Go Asian teams. South Korea is very solid to be honest, Park Ji-Sung, Lee Woon-Jae, Park Chu-Young and Lee Chung-Yong are all very good players. They could surprise other teams in the knockout stages ;)

This is a funny article old subject [somewhat] but hey: [On Soccer - For U.S. Soccer, Only Thing Clear Is Frustration - NYTimes.com](For U.S. Soccer, Only Thing Clear Is Frustration - The New York Times)

^^I thought Yum Kim Chee and Bee Bee Que played very well in my opinion. Let’s not forget Yu Gat Seoul in Goal.

The French players deserve a little more sympathy. When you’re stuck with an incompetent coach there’s really not much you can do.

No, I don’t think so.

So let’s just say I have got the pre-game adrenaline again. I’m really nervous - tomorrow is the biggest US soccer game of my life (and I’m not even playing). A #1 finish in Group C and wait till you read about how easy (well nothing is easy but it won’t get easier) the Run to the Semifinals is.

So USA gets #1 in Group C:
They play #2 in Group D (which is such a crazy group atm). Best case scenario is that Australia beats Serbia and Ghana beats Germany. That’d mean the US plays Australia in the Round of 16 (US beat Australia 3-1 in a friendly in the week leading up to the World Cup). If the US won, they’d face the winner of Uruguay/South Korea which in my opinion, for being a quarterfinals matchup, would be a very generous matchup. US can beat Uruguay and SoKo, though I’d rather see them play SoKo in the QF if they get that far.

USA gets #2 in Group C:
Again, Group D is so messed up, but personally, I’d be rooting for a Serbia win over Australia and a draw b/w Ghana/Germany so that US would play Serbia in Round of 16. Again, a winnable game, but what sucks about this quadrant of the knockout bracket is that US (pending a win over Serbia) would be staring down the winner of Argentina/Mexico, which is NOT an easy game anyway you put it, especially if Argentina beats Mexico.

USA gets #3/4 in Group C:
:(

You don’t think what

I think Argentina is to win the Worldcup, whatcha think?

^^I don’t believe that the players deserve more sympathy.

^I hope not, but it’s a realistic prediction.

^Why not?

Did you not view the quote?

Why should I feel sympathetic for players who refused to practice and wouldn’t even allow their coach on their bus?

I read your quote. It was the same summary of events I had read several times before.

Because their coach was clearly incompetent and another player was sent home for not entirely known reasons . . . likely stemming from the coach’s aforementioned incompetence.

They were set up to fail.
