^I don’t see how he was “clearly incompetent.” Even if he wasn’t an appeasing coach, refusing to allow him onto the team bus is the players’ liability.

Anyway, France has been eliminated and the World Cup is bound to progress. I’m just hoping that the U.S. is enabled to win.

This is what the World Cup is all about. So much passion and emotion goes into these games. I was so ecstatic at this point because of the amount of emotion I felt during this game and the fact that I was so proud of the team for coming back.

The US needs to play a full 90 minutes of the game, not wait 'til the second half to be aggressive and play 45 mins. If they play like they did in the second half of the Slovenia for 90 mins. tomorrow, Algeria doesn’t stand a chance. If they decide to let Algeria dominate, then they’re screwed. USA has control of their fate here. They should be aiming for a win, not a tie. With that said, I want to see the US and England. Best of luck to both teams! :)

I used to really resent England because of its fans, but I’ve noticed that they’ve became much more tolerable as of late and so now I am on the verge of supporting England as well…

Wartsandall: why not? I think they play with heart and soul, no fear! They are entertaining, fun to watch. Maradona is a jerk, but other than that the team has shown they play cohesively, as a real team.
