The irony of the offsides goal in Arg-Mex was that a Mex goal was disallowed for offsides.

And **** charm. When Human error takes away from the game, then it’s time to use new age technology. Screw tradition, the game need fixing, and technology can help. Purism sets it behind.

Messi at Barcelona is like freaking Jesus. He kicks ass there. He plays an attacking mid role, emphasis on the attack at the club. For Argentina, they seem to use him as the playmaker who primarily supports. He’s dicing up teams like Magic Johnson.

Happysunnyshine, are you serious? The entire opposition has their eyes on Messi the whole time… Obviously it would be near impossible for him to score… in the World Cup, he has been mostly passing and he is darn amazing at that… Nevertheless, Messi is GOD with Barcelona… second to absolutely none. I suggest you go on Youtube and look up Messi… look at some videos and then come back and say that he’s not the best player in the world.

On another note, Germany played really well against England… I honestly didn’t think they had it in them. The English offence was actually good but their defence was subpar and Germany took advantage. The German passing and ball handling really impressed me.

For tomorrow, my prediction for Netherland vs. Slovakia is 3-1 for Netherlands.

Messi in his opening game missed all his chances, and he has a bundle of games. The man is the closest to being unguardable. Germany just crushed England. Really.

I believe its hard for Messi to score b/c the opposing team players want to intentionally rough him up and stuff - prevent him from even coming close to their goal box. Which is why he needs to rely on making great extraordinary passes to his teammates (Higuain, Palermo, Tevez, etc.) more than trying to score himself. But don’t worry, I have faith that he will end his goalless streak and astonish the world with his mad skills!!
Vai, viva, for

I think that coaches should be enabled to have a certain amount of challenges. Hopefully a human error won’t be the deciding factor regarding which team progresses at this stage in the tournament.

@alam1 With all the respect in the world, I do have to disagree. Netherlands is a great, talented team, but I believe that Brazil will prevail when they (most likely) clash in the quarterfinals. Even tho Brazil classic beautiful playing style has waned, they still play very efficiently and cleanly. To me, they’re the best everrr!
And my dream is to see Brazil and Argentina in the finals July 11!!
Vai, viva Brasil! 3-1 vs. Chile
Oh, do any of you think that Portugal could beat Spain tomorrow? IDK, but for some reason I have a deep feeling that they just might ^^

It just occurred to me that Brazil have a relatively easy road to the final. They just have to beat Chile, Netherlands/Slovakia, and Uruguay/Ghana. Compare with Germany who might have to beat England, Argentina and Spain.

It’s hard to imagine that Brazil will fail to go to the final.
I do hope Portugal can win. But I want Villa to score as well. Torres is just not in the right spirit probably due to the unfortunate injury and I am not even sure whether he will play the game. @alam1: If you go to Youtube and look up Cristiano Ronaldo, you will find him great as well. Those videos are the agglomerations of all the dazzling moments so they may not be as accurate reflections of the players’ current performances as the real games. But there’s no doubt that Messi is amazing.
I think Brazil and Germany will meet in the final. Maradona is, realistically speaking, not as experienced as Löw.
