^Indeed. That’s an extremely tough angle to score from

Sexy… sexy game from Brazil. Or at least 2nd half.

That got me nostalgic about Roberto Carlos’s wonder goal.

what games are playing tomorrow?

Honduras/Chile
Spain/Switzerland
South Africa/Uruguay

if you mean the one he had against france, i think, where it started out straight before physics kicked in and it swerved in… that goal was beautiful

^ No I meant what is dubbed “The Impossible Goal”. Search it up on YT, brilliance from Carlos.

thanks Jersey :)

I was a little disappointed in Brazil in the first half. It looked like they were impatient to score; many of their shots were long range. And they don’t make their formations as fast as the Koreans. But the Brazilians had better skills than the Koreans. I was surprised with the North Korean’s strong defense; I commend them for that. Good game.

^^^ that is an accurate name for that goal… wow.

Mr. Goal-A-Game has failed North Korea. Let’s just hope he’s not removed from society by Kim Jong-Il when he arrives home for not doing what he said he’d do…

They’re going to be hung when they get back. We’ll never hear of them again.

That’s what happens when you have 8 guys on defense and no one on the outside flank on Brazil’s part.

Maicon’s goal was amazing, but the Ri (GK) was way outside for that shot.

Yeah the N.Koreans really vamped up their defense. Oh yeah, and when the Brazilians had corner kicks, i was like ‘***, where is everyone? all i see is a yellow surrounded by reds’. Even the Italians were all there when there was a corner kick.

My guess is that the North Korean players will likely be deported from the country post-World Cup or at the very least have their own one of those “death camps” where they cannot talk to other citizens.

Did anybody hear about how their fans were Chinese substitutes? Hehe, funny, but I don’t doubt that at all. I don’t think the game yesterday got watched by a single soul in Korea except maybe some upper, upper authority like Kim Jong-Il. Makes me kinda sad :(

As for vamping up their defense, I don’t think that’s the right verb. It was more that they just added more defenders (i’m taking “vamping” like improving skill). What they did yesterday wasn’t really skillful defense as much as it was taking up space and blocking passing lanes. I think a High School team w/ a good goalie that could save shots from far outside the box that Brazil was taking could draw Brazil at least for a while with that “block & clear” strategy.

^^I remember the reporters mentioning that the only highlight from the game shown on the Korean sports channels was Ri’s goal. Ha.

Ha! Yeah I heard that too. It was a joke though, if you were unaware. I was taken aback when he said that, essentially criticizing Korea’s gov’t on national TV.

Who cares, North Korea still won

Getting pumped to see what Spain’s got.

Wow…all citizens of Spain are s**tting themselves right now.

How great would it be if Spain didn’t make it to the knockout round?

That was a huge upset. This really opens up Group H.
