how did you guys get your decision? did they email you or just post it online? or mail?

I just checked on WUSTL Pathway. No email or mail.

Kind of depressing that they were sure that they wanted to reject me. The worst part was that the Engineering Registrar evaluated my courses like 2-3 weeks before my rejection and even evaluated my Orgo credit separately. Well best of luck to you booksrule9 with your other decisions and congratulations to the rest that were accepted.

The most depressing (and infuriating) part of it for me was just how curt WashU always is with their rejections. You get THREE sentences. Thanks a lot for the encouraging words. Oh well. This being the second time around I didn’t feel as bad.

i disagree completely with the above post, but i guess I’m a bit more optimistic.

Things change and so do people so I don’t see the harm in reapplying. I initially applied to WashU for Poli Sci and was waitlisted. Now, I’m applying to Communication Design in their art school.

Okay, yeah, I’m just gonna ignore dsterino’s post. I’m pretty sure many of us are aware of the low chances. We’re not that naive. What kind of message is that anyway? When the going gets tough, just quit trying? If indeed everyone took your advice, to not apply if the school doesn’t accept more than 200 students, then no one would be applying to those schools as transfers.

If it’s really hard to be filling out apps in your freshman year of college, you truly have a time management problem. Unless you have two jobs and are involved with three or more clubs/organizations, you can always put a little bit of time out of the day to work on apps. If you’re not willing to take the time to complete something as simple as applications you don’t belong in those top notch schools. Furthermore, if you started early with those apps, you should have had no trouble at all.

I know my chances aren’t great but at least I’m trying. If I get rejections letters, so be it. If people like TransferWorries took your advice, he wouldn’t have had the pleasure of being accepted by a prestigious university.

I submitted my app before feb

Thank you, booksrule9!
FYI- I applied and was rejected from WashU last year. Not even waitlisted. I applied for Arts and Sciences both years. You absolutely have a chance at admission if you worked hard your freshman year. Take heart, don’t give up.

Has anyone else heard back? It’s been six weeks for me and still nothing :/

@DinoRawr6…I suggest calling them. They told me to cal them if in 30 days time I don’t hear from them…Anyway,I was just accepted into Cornell so I should be fine…Good luck to all of us!

Denied :(

Decision Notification

The Admissions Committee is unable to offer you transfer admission to Washington University for the Fall 2012 semester. You will also receive this notification by mail.

We appreciate your interest in Washington University, and we wish you all the best in your future educational endeavors.

Is there a disadvantage to applying after one semester as opposed to a full year?

Hi everyone!!! I got in this morning!!!

Here are some of my quick stats:

H.S. GPA: 3.7
SAT: 1910 (ooof)
Other: took 6 APs in high school and was very involved with leadership positions
College GPA: 3.9 (from a top 30 LAC)

Sorry it’s not really in any order haha, but I tried very hard through out high school/college and thankfully it all paid off. I wish you guys a lot of luck with your decisions and hope you hear back soon!

Oh yes I am also an incoming Sophomore. I can’t believe I got in!!!

Congratulations how long ago did you apply?

Thanks! Around Mid-to late February! Hope you all get in!

accepted this morning good luck to all of you guys

Everyone will know by the end of the next week, most by the end of this week.

I just got in! Does anyone know the transfer rate to the art school? I’m hoping to extend the deposit deadline so I can visit.
